...was happy about this as a cousin had helped to design the building. Over a period of a couple of years, Brummie and visitor alike watched with fascination as the old new Bull Ring (if you see what I mean!) was demolished and the new one built. The builders provided viewing ports so that you could see what was happening. The most interesting thing was the giant hole that was dug which went right down to the sandstone bedrock upon which Birmingham stands. Eventually, the new, new Bull Ring was finalised, and open to the public. Wow! I mean, REALLY wow! The Selfridges building is great. It looks like something from Star Trek Voyager. It is quirky and is covered in fantastic metal disks, but it is really fun to look at and fun to shop in. The rest of the new, new Bull Ring is, well, it would be a lie to say it is as interesting as the award... Read review

D.K.L makes 2 wooden versions of this toy. One a giant set consisting of 8 rings costs £20.00And a smaller one which is a more affordable £9.00 also with 8 rings. I have only been able to examine the cheaper version, which appeared well made in brightly coloured hard wood. This toy is available from Mail order express and John Lewis. 4.Plan toys also make stacking rings in different coloured hardwood. This version is very similar to the one sold in E.L.C and has a ball, which fits onto the top. ...by John Howe. So about the plot, well its about a dragon called Smaug and many years ago he killed and stole all of the dwarfs tresure. Then Gandalf goes to Bilbos house to try and persuade him to go on an adventure to retrive the tresure. Along the way Bilbo finds a ring that can turn him invisable, (wot he dosent know is that it belongs to a very powerful sorceror named suron, who is the main villan in Lord of the Rings) After that they reach a giant forest called Mirkwood where bilbo finds that his ring is very useful, because all his friends get captured by some gient spiders and he maneges to free them. When they finaly reach the misty mountains (Smauges den) there is a battle of orcs, trols, dwarfs and birds. Then they kill smaug get the tresure and every body goes homy happy.But Bilbo got a little somthing extra.... Read review
