.... Although it a good album track and shows Robbie's gentler side, I think he should have released One Of God's Better People instead. This is a classic tune with Robbie's usual thoughtful lyrics. Old Before I Die was another single from this album and is brilliant. It is a good pop song and the lyrics are lyrics that people can relate to. Other tracks on the album are; the title track Life Thru A Lens, Ego A Go Go, South Of The Border (v.good), Killing Me, Clean and Baby Girl Window. This album has a good mix of ballads, pop songs and rock songs which all have good lyrics. There is no repetition of choruses with Robbie, there is humour in the songs and there is definite talent. Like Robbie's second album, I've Been Expecting You, there is a hidden track on Life Thru A Lens. It is called Hello Sir and is said to be a crack at Robbie's dad who... Read review

...Bon Jovi's Cross Roads is a best of album which includes some of their great singalong hits that have made them such a success all over the globe in karaoke bars and other rock and pop clubs. It includes the great 'Livin' on a Prayer', arguably their finest song of all, and some other greats like Bad Medicine which is one of my all-time favourites. There are also a couple of new songs on the album, including Always and also Someday I'll be Saturday Night, both reasonably listenable-to. A great all-round album and very enjoyable, and may jog a few old memories......... Read review

Advantages: EVERYTHING!- Great sound quality, very reliable, excelent build quality, evey feature you could ever want, full remote control and very good speakers
Disadvantages: Err, could always be cheaper (what couldn't?)

...and they really do make the music come to life. Normal feature wise it has dueal auto reverse full logic casstete decks, 3 CD multichanger, RDS Radio and a Mini Disc option so you can plug one it at a later date. All these features work brilliantly with clean crisp readio reception, quality tape recordings and playbaks (has Dolby noise reduction) and very responcive CD pick up. Extra features include clock, wake up timer, sleep timer, evey sound ajustment (bass, trebele etc) all the RDS featrues like radio text and genre search (rock, pop, classic, news, traffic etc.). It has many other features like full repote control, karaoke - it takes the vocals out fo tracks so you can sing along to them, mixing features - you can add rhythmes to track for trasitions and add sipce effects like record scratching or bass drums and a well designed, smart looking... Advantages: Lots of variation in genres and styles of tracks; brilliant, strong and unique vocals
Disadvantages: Not as many stand out tracks as her earlier album

..., although fairly strong and upbeat, lacks the energy and attitude of 'Boyfriend'. However, as a pop track it is still very listenable and Ashlee's vocals are strong and pull it off brilliantly. 7/10 BEAUTIFULLY BROKEN begins with a gentle guitar backing and wistful, heartfelt vocals before launching in to a strong yet emotive chorus. It is not exactly a ballad but more of a gentle rock/pop track which showcases Ashlee's great vocal range. The lyrics are not fantastically deep and meaningful but the heartfelt vocals suggest that they mean a lot to Ashlee and are straight from the heart. Overall this is, although not as memorable a some other tracks, a simple and beautiful track. 8/10 L.0.V.E is one of my favourite tracks on the album as it is so catchy, fun and unique. ...Shania Twain is amazing. She has a very good voice and this combined with wonderful, catchy tunes and these are put onto a fabulous album which I regretted not buying earlier. If it wasn't for a small thing called money, I would buy every Shania Twain album, not just the one I did have before something dreadful happened... Three words to describe my Shania Twain album: Brilliant Wonderful and Stolen. Yes, sadly, I had my copy stolen but fortunately I had plenty of playing time out of the CD before that time. I feel Like a Women is my personal favourite and I did, with a group of lads, sing this in a karaoke. We sounded terrible but the lyrics we were reading were brilliant - or thought-provoking as it is so nicely put below! Shania's music is like a cross between country/rock and a smigen of pop. ...stations can be stored for easy access. The graphic equalizer can be set via buttons to… ROCK: More powerful treble and bass. POP: More "presence" in vocals. CLASSIC: A more generally enriched sound. There is what is termed a BBE SYSTEM - this enhances the clarity of the higher pitched sounds and is good for karaoke. And then there's my favourite, the SUPER T-BASS SYSTEM. With this turned to full, the bass tends to vibrate through the floor. Mind you, we do have wood flooring which probably enhances the entire listening experience. The three other settings are DISCO with disco like sounds, LIVE - this is slightly reverb making music sound like you are there. HALL - this sounds as if you are in a hall with a longer reverb than live. On the speakers there are two indicator lights. One green when it is playing in ordinary... Read review

...Better Best Forgotten is another classic pop record from the masters of classic pop records, Steps. It has everything it takes to be brilliant: great tune, instantly ctachy, great vocals. The remix is OK; your average remix really. The instrumental brilliant though - get your hairbrush and add it to your karaoke collection!The CD also hjas an enhanced section with the rather dodgy video (funny though), facts about each memeber (which are also in the CD sleeve) and the dance steps. ...On the face of it a karaoke based game for the play station does not bode well but actually this has turned out to be not all bad and in fact quite a giggle specially when supported by a little bit of alcohol. I had always ignored the previous versions as the music tended to be mostly cheesy pop tunes however encouraged by the rock version and the inclusion of some great bands like Nirvana and Keane I decided to take the plunge. Basically the game measures your singing ability whilst you warble away at your favourite tune and in all there are about 30 video songs on the game so there is a decent amount of variety to keep you interested. Coloured bars on the screen let you know how close you are to matching the pitch and tone of the artist and it is great fun as even the worst singer in the world can get to adapt their voice to score...
