Honda CBX750FE great for its age.
Review of Honda CBX 750 FE by
Nigefj1200
Advantages: good performance for its age, styling, reliability
Disadvantages: none really apart from less grunt than larger bikes
...I purchased my CBX750FE in 1995 and to date have had no problems with it. I note the other opinion on this page where someone complains about the engine breaking down due to low oil, well sorry my friend but if you are silly enough to run an engine with low oil that is your fault not the bikes.
My own CBX is a UK model and performs v well for its age with good around town capabilties and good A road performance. The highest speed I have achieved on my CBX is 135 mph (on a private road officer). It produces power from tickover but only really pulls well from 6,000 rpm and then v well from 8,000 rpm with the rev limiter coming on at 10,500 rpm. The standard of finish is good to excellent and the styling attracts plenty of good comments. Overall I would rate it highly because of Hondas standards of finish being higher than anyone elses. I...

Detailed Information
Review of TVR Cerbera 4.5 by
Alistah
Advantages: You're not going to be beaten in a drag race!
Disadvantages: Handling can be too hairy for some
...Engine:
75 degree alloy V8 engine
Capacity (cc) 4475
Bore/stroke (mm) 91 x 86
Compression Ratio 10.75:1
Max power 420 bhp @ 6750 rpm
Max torque 380 ft.lbs @ 5500 rpm
Performance:
0 to 60 mph in 3.9 secs
0 to 100 mph in 8.3 secs
0 to 150 mph in 17.9 secs
Maximum speed +190 mph
Insurance Group: 20
This baby will blow the socks off pretty much anything slower than a Jaguar XJ220!!
I wouldn't recommend this car for everyday use as it is VERY tail happy in wet conditions. Excellent for track days thanks to huge amounts of power and wonderful brakes. Performance in a straight line should beat a standard Ferrari 360!
Headlight conversion is now a must, otherwise they tend to look a little dated.
Driving past stationary vehicles sub-3000 RPM can trigger their alarms due to the V8 rumble!...

Powerball, fun and good workout
Review of NSD Neon Green Regular Powerball by
pearbo
Advantages: Cheap and fun
Disadvantages: none so far
...Well have had this gadget for a few months now and am still using it regularly. Once you have got the hang of starting it, either with your thumb or the string provided, it can be quite an enjoying workout, using it for 10 minutes you will start to feel your arms aching so you know its working.
The powerball requires no batteries and is completely powered by the user. By a rythmical movement of the wrist the internal gyroscope is spun, which can go as fast as you can make it go, with the world record being about 16000 rpm.
As this is a neon powerball one the interal gyroscope is spinning at about 3000 rpm the internal LEDs start to light up, and every 1000 rpm faster it goes another one lights up.
Personally i would recommend buying one which has the display attached to it, which shows your high score amongst other things...

Baby 306 gti-6
Review of Peugeot 106 GTI by
stefanwilliams
Advantages:
Disadvantages:
...I have had two 306 GTI-6's and this little sister packs in all the fun of those cars without the price tag [and comfort]. These cars are absolutly great fun to drive, not for people who want to enjoy their ride though. The gear change is chunky, the acceleration is harsh and you feel EVERY stone chip on the road due to the REALLY HARD suspension. All this just adds to the thrill of driving this car. Like its bigger brother, thte acceleration and handling are fantastic, almost the same in fact. Luxurys are missing though inside, as is any form of top speed. The engine loves to operate over 5000rpm and red lines at 7500rpm. It loves accelerating through corners and never feels unstable. If you want a GTI-6 but cant afford one. BUY THIS CAR!!!!!!!...

Good overall workhorse
Review of Dell Precision M4300 by
Tizz986
Advantages: Long battery life, good performance, clear screen
Disadvantages: Bulky, lack of SD card reader
...The Dell M4300 is the laptop of choice for my company. The 4300 has proven to be a very stable laptop, but with stability comes size. They are somewhat bulky, but I feel it is a trade off worth making for the better performance over the smaller models. Also the added size gives room for a bigger battery which can last as much as 3 hours at times.
One thing that I do wish that was on the m4300 is a 12-in-1 card reader. I have found it a bit of a pain to not have this simple add-on, forcing me to carry a USB card reader along with me.
I would also opt for a larger hard drive than the 80GB, as well as 7200RPM over the 5400RPM. The 2GB of RAM has been plenty for all of my extensive computing needs....

The BEST drive for TiVo or Sky+ upgrades
Review of Samsung SpinPoint V120CE HA250JC 250 GB by
tivoheaven
Advantages: Low noise, very cool running, low vibration, reliability
Disadvantages: not the biggest or cheapest drive you can buy
...In our experience (2 years supplying this drive for TiVo upgrades) this is the quietest, coolest and most reliable drive you can buy to upgrade your TiVo or Sky+
It is a 5400rpm drive (unlike most these days which are 7200rpm) and the reduced spindle speed means it generates less heat and therefore runs a lot cooler and with less vibration than 7200rpm drives. This means that your TiVo or Sky+ will run cooler - extending the life of the drive - and the chance of it causing "hum" through vibration transmitted to the box and into your AV cabinet is much reduced too. In fact, the vibration of this drive is often so low that we have to double-check that it's powered on when configuring it as - unlike 7200rpm drives - you often can't feel it spinning when you put your hand on it!
The seek noise is also very soft and quiet too, especially...
