B&Q flooring
Review of B&Q Flooring by
colin272363
Advantages: Stylish and easy to clean, will transform your home. Very modern
Disadvantages: A pain to put together requires patiance
...These B7Q floor board can change the appearance of any room dramatically creating an outstanding effect among the home. There really cheap compared to carpets and in my opinion look allot better as well.
Make sure you measure your room be for purchasing this product to make sure you know how much you need and how much its going to cost you. Don’t forget you will need the following items to complete a successful project:
Underlay
Dividers
Rubber mullet (i used a normal hammer with a sock over it)
Skirting strips
Once you’ve got the underlay down unpack the floorboards which you should of got delivered (because they way a tone) and follow the easy instructions to complete your floor. My advice is to be gentle and remember to leave the 1inch gap around the sides (this is where dividers are used).
When slotting the boards...

Dettol Anti Bacterial Floor wipes
Review of Dettol Anti Bacterial Floor wipes by
smcccc
Advantages: Work well , easy and convenient.
Disadvantages: Price.
...dirty paw marks or emergency spills, simply because they are convenient and do the job well.
I usually wear rubber gloves when cleaning but have used the wipes without on occasion , and after giving my hands a quick rinse afterwards they do tend to feel a bit dry but have'nt suffered any serious adverse reaction to the ingredients apart from this.
A good strong and easy to use wipe but a bit expensive if not on offer.
They can be used on sealed laminate flooring, sealed vinyl, linoleum and glazed tiles.
Do not use on unsealed flooring, fabrics or TV and Laptop sreens.
Full and easy to understand instruction on pack.
Keep out of the reach of children and animals....

* Rubber Ducks - I mean Rubber Hooks . .
Review of Race X Rubber Hooks (Large ) by
smudgeybabes
Advantages: Keeps bonnets secure.
Disadvantages: Not the most attraxctive items in my opinion.
...Race X rubber hooks.
These items are designed for use on racing cars,
to stop the bonnet flying open during agressive manoeuvering.
They are marketed as a "bonnet pin kit".
These type of fittings are also useful on other situations,
where the use of a flexible quick release fixing is required.
They have been used on trucks and buses for many many years.
These ones are very good, and are made by the Race X company.
Race X do a catalogue, which is very good, you will find over 300 styling items on sale, including stunning red or vivid blue aluminium pedal pads, Titanium look gear knobs with rather sporty leather gaiters and the like. There are also practical items, e.g. locking wheel nuts wiper blades etc.
They also sell a large array of other trinkets, tax disc holders "go faster stripes" and rubber mats,

Rubber Toys..
Review of Wilko Dog Toy Rubber Ring 15cm by
The-ex-Raven
Advantages: cheap rubber toy - 99p
Disadvantages: Maybe more suited to a less destructive dog...
... Wilko Dog Toy Rubber Ring...
Cost me 99p so as cheap as - I bought 2. They're avalible in diffrent colours I got Red for Dizz and Blue for Buzz-Boy-Buster. Not that Dizz would ordinarily want one but what Buster has she must have and I like to keep the peace.
Buzz likes to chew....chew and destroy so I figured at least this rubber toy may last him a while before he killed it. It's about 15cm in diameter and about 2.5cm thick with a nice weight to it for the size, is good to throw outdoors and bounces about nicely on hard surfaces. Its not like Buster is a monster size dog - just a medium mutt and the size of the toy seems right for him.
Well in under 10 minutes it was no longer a ring, or rather it was a ring with a gap in it... and then he was looking at the red one..
but the red one belongs to Dizz who wasn...

Joys of rubber stamping
Review of Rubber Stamping by
glajma
Advantages: Relaxing, you can make some money and get lots of compliments
Disadvantages: You get hooked, can be expensive to get started.
...About 3 years ago I began to make greetings cards for friends and family after buying myself a craft kit. Within a few weeks I had a box full of equipment and a pile of cards to give out.
I had cleared a corner of the study so was able to leave it in a state and shut the door If I needed to leave something for another day. This I feel is important as If you had to clear away everything before the family could eat every day I think I would soon get sick of it.
You need to start with the basics which are:
Rubber stamps - just one or two general ones and one with a greeting you will use regularly is sufficient.
Ink Pads - If you want to emboss your image you will need to use pigment ink which takes longer to dry. In my opinion It won't be long before you start to emboss so you may as well start with pigment ink. One or two...

Floor wipes - the lazy way to clean your floor!
Review of Wilkinsons Floor Wipes by
pink_champagne
Advantages: quick and easy to use
Disadvantages: could work out expensive
...About half of my flat has hard floors - laminate in the living room, vinyl in the kitchen and vinyl strips in the bathroom - and I find cleaning it all a nightmare.
I tend to vacuum before using a wet product on the floor, as my floors always tend to be quite dusty. Before I started using Wilkinsons floor wipes, I used to mop the floor, something which I found quite annoying, as it always seems to just swirl the dirt around rather than picking it up. It's also not very good for laminate floor as regularly getting it wet can cause damage.
When I spotted these wipes I was intrigued. They sounded like a good idea, however I was slightly put off by the price as they cost £1.45 for 15 wipes. I decided to give them a try though as the packet states that one wipe will clean an area up to 7 metres squared.
The wipes can be used...

Long lasting laminate flooring
Review of Ikea Tundra Flooring by
Abracadabra007
Advantages: Easy to lay, long lasting, looks good, easy to maintain
Disadvantages: Not Water proof
...OK., before we start.. first thing to note is that Tundra Flooring is a laminate flooring and NOT real wood.
Technical details:
You can buy them from Ikea and they are ONLY delivered in packs. Each pack weighs 15 kgs and contains 9 planks. You can cover 2.39 sq. mts (25.8 sq.ft) with one pack. Each plank measures 138 cm x 19.3 cm; now you can make an approximate calculation of many planks or packs you would need to cover you floor. You will also get a guide sheet of how to lay the floor.
Cost:
When we bought the Tundra flooring there was a discount on all laminate flooring from Ikea. Hence, we got it a £15 per pack.
You should always buy one pack more than what is necessary just to allow that human error.
Tools and extra material needed to lay the floor:
There is a Fixa laminate floor laying kit available from Ikea...

Hit the floor!
Review of Dettol Large Strong Floor Wipes by
tyllwyd
Advantages: Disposable, easy to use
Disadvantages: Expensive
...To tell you the truth, my kitchen floor is pretty gruesome even at the best of times. At some time in the past (the 1970s ?), someone decided it would be a good idea to cover it in custard yellow vinyl tiles. Thirty years on, and things are not looking good!
I would love this to be a review about a wonderful new floor covering, but I’m a bit stuck at the moment. We’ve only just moved into our house, and the kitchen units were probably installed at the same time as the floor tiles, so they really have to go. But we can’t decide whether to extend the kitchen or not, and until we have decided if we are going to extend we can’t replace the kitchen units – and it really doesn’t make sense to replace the floor until we know where the units are going to be.
So, the grimy puke-yellow floor remains. And then we have to throw a new problem...

Quality Flooring
Review of Quick Step Uniclic Flooring by
nicol01
Advantages: Very quick and easy to lay
Disadvantages: Experience required for a top job!
...I recently laid quick step uniclic flooring in a relatives bedroom. This is the 12th laminate floor I have laid, 6 were glued boards and 6 have been click style boards, so I'm definitely qualified to speak on the subject!
Background
I've listed a con as 'experience required’; this may be slightly unfair as I would say it's true of all laminate floors, especially the cheaper ones. They will only look really good if they have been fitted really well. The quick step uniclic floor is however at the higher price range of laminate floors at around 13.99 per sq metre, so I would say it is slightly more forgiving when mistakes are made. When dealing with home improvements materials I tend to stick to the old saying, "you get what you pay for". I feel I've been proved correct with laminate flooring. I've dealt with cheaper floors...

My experience with Karndean flooring
Review of Karndean Flooring by
denise_Farnham
Advantages: Everything. vinyl tiles are the future
Disadvantages: none at all
...I recently went in search of Karndean flooring, as a neighbour of mine told me they were recommended it from their builder, who installed it for them after he built their conservatory. I went round to see it and it looks FANTASTIC!! like something you would see in a footballers house, as it had a border around the room and matched the colour of their furniture, i thought they had an interior designer in but they hadn't... Anyway after seeing that i knew i had to have it, so i asked how much, i nearly dropped my cup of tea when they told me how much it cost...£1000's for one room. Anyway my friend told me there was cheaper ranges out there and so on and to shop around etc. This is were my review of this flooring starts.
As im an internet nerd, this was the first and only place i looked, and after reading a couple of reviews here...
