Advantages: Excellent animation
Disadvantages: A little bit for the kids

...I was always a big fan of wallace and gromit (sorry to do the obvious comparison but I am going somewhere) so I saw Chicken Run just to see how the animation had advanced, plus the trailer looked quite good. It starts of brilliantly and keeps it up for most the film, but in the last 20 minutes it seems to run a bit tired and turns quite childish (setting up nicley for the predictable happy ending) There are some funny moments (mostly what's in the trailer) but dispite the relitavley short running time it starts to drag (only slightly) and like I said it turns into a kids movie. Still, the chickens are quite cute and entertaining, worth seeing. Don't be put off by thinking it's for kids.... Read review

Advantages: MODERN and DIFFERENT
Disadvantages: predictable ending, could use more of plot turns

...I recently saw "Run Lola Run". It was the first time i saw a german film.I liked very much. I found it clever,innovative,fast, well-directed,modern,and very-very DIFFERENT from everything that i have ever seen.Its aesthetics,were definitely different from the usual holliwood films. Lola has to find a big sum of money in twenty minutes, or else her boyfriend Manny is going to be killed.So lola starts running... The movie is short (it lasts only 80mins)and it is divided into three parts, we see the three different versions of the same story. In the first, lola ends up dead,in the second, manny ends up dead , in the third and last, they end up...rich. The performances are very good,but what makes the big difference,is the way that the film is directed: Really quick changes of frames,a bit of animation, snap-shots of the people lola meets... ...I hated running at school, it was painful, exhausting and tedias so when a friend asked me to start running with her I was most reluctant. I made every excuse under the sun as to why I couldn't go. Advantages: Totally original, excellent film.
Disadvantages: Maybe Lola's red hair.

...to the big sreen. At 77 mins long it's pretty short but is still a very exciting and entralling ride also watch out as this film has a seriously excellent twist. Being this is a German film you'll have a choice of watching this DVD in subtitles or a dubbed format which is very good. I urge everyone reading this review now to watch this flashy foriegn classic. (you will thank me) I just hope hollywood don't remake this film as it would have no buzz in my opinion. A very clever German film indeed, 100% good fun. ...Stephen king wrote this book under the pseudonym Richard Bachman. I'm not sure why he did this, and haven't been able to find out from anywhere, but that isn't the point. The Running Man is set in the future, 2025, and is about a gameshow called The Running Man. In order to win the prize of $1billion, the contestant has to survive for 30days. The only other option apart from survival is death. In the six years the gameshow has been running, no one has survived. I'm not going to say any more about the story, because it would give too much away. Compared to Stephen King's other books, this is short, and can easialy be read in an afternoon. However, that doesn't mean that there is not much to the book. It is written extremley well, and there is so much packed into it. .... Although in the manual it says the shorts are easy to put on, they are not. I think they are quite fiddly. Firstly you have to put the shorts on, then reach to the back of the shorts and peel off the cover on your bottom, press on firmly, then fasten the velcro around your waist. Next reach to the back of your legs and peel off the covers and press firmly. Next, peel off the front leg covers and press firmly, then fasten the velcro on the side legs. Now you can start your session. Sessions are: Prog 1) Introduction (20 Mins) Runs for 3 sessions Prog 2) Beginner (25 Mins) Runs for 10 sessions Prog 3) Intermediate (30 Mins) Runs for 20 sessions Prog 4) Advanced (30 Mins) Stays at this programme. ...Having received a digital camera from Santa this year, I soon discovered how poor my old printer was on photo quality printing. Off to the stores! A friend suggested Epson as he had produced wonderful results from the Epson 640. The 680 is an updated version of the 640, but with a massive 2880 dpi. Installing and running the printer was easier than any other add on I have used. The printing results were nothing short of amazing. Some photo's are not far short of 3d. General quality print (letters etc.) are fantastic. Speed of print is good, all in all the best £99.50 I have ever spent.
