...Cute, elegant, fast. There are many ways to describe the S2000, all of which could be listed as a 'pro', all except for the price. Its not a cheap car, with a base invoice around 32k. However, looking at its performance, looks, and handling characteristics, the car is without doubt worth the money. S2k a two-seater sports car, the kinds of which was only available for the rich and the famous back in the day. With the introduction of the crude but cute Miata, your average Joe could buy a roadster and enjoy the wind blow in their face as they cruised in the highways. Many other roadsters have popped since the introduction of the Miata in 1989, the BMW Z3 and the Mercedes 320 are some of them. Advantages: sexy and chic

.... That was what first made me want one! But then I didn't know anything about this motor, only that it looked a treat, so I would have to find out if it's personality really lived up to it's looks. I decided to look it up on the internet to see if this was really the car for me, but I am sad to say that some of what I found wasn't to my liking; someone like me did not have much of a chance getting a test drive in one of these, let alone the credit- and the insurance (but we'll come to that later). So, for months- years- I dreamed of just having a go in one, but admitted that I would have to wait until I was at least 25 before I could be let loose behind the wheel! But that's where I was wrong! Advantages: Looks stunning, goes even better

...I have to admit, I only had the car for a weekend, I could never afford to buy and then run one myself, but what a weekend!! The first impression you get is simply 'wow' - stunning looks, sexy alloys, and even though it has been around for about 3 years, it is very rarely seen on the roads, making it even more impressive. When i got in, the first thing I noticed was the big red button on the right hand side of the steering wheel, emblazoned with the words 'ENGINE START' - extremely exciting - and then the next thing was to take the roof down, by simply unclipping two clips and pushing another button. And this is how the S2000 has to be driven, with the roof down. The side windows can be put up, so you don't get blown about quite so much. Advantages: speed, cornering, price, looks

...and the perfomance is unleashed, it isn;t enough to keep up with the contenders of the Porche Gt3 or the BMW M3, It gave the lotus elise a good run for its money, but it out ran me in corners. which brings me to my next point : Cornering, Must be said, very good at cornering, from what is excpected from a rear wheel drive car there is alot of over steer and "drift". But in the s2000 there is none of that. As long as you don't break in the middle of a corner and you feather the accelerater, the car will corner smoothly ready for the next corner You can force over steer if need be, but that isn't the fastest way round the track Understeer only comes if you're comming into a corner too hot, But generally there isn't too much of this.
