SPACE HOPPER FOR BIG PEOPLE
Review of Pro-Fitness Gymnastic Ball by
astrababe
Advantages: FUN EXERCISE FOR ALL FITNESS LEVELS
Disadvantages: NO INSTRUCTIONS
...What can say about the Pro-Fitness Gymnastic Ball? It’s big. It’s bouncy. And mine is silver in colour. It costs only £3.99 from Argos. I reserved mine on the Argos website – a simple and straightforward procedure. Trust me. I then chose the outlet I wanted to collect it from – in this case, Eastgate Centre in Inverness. I was given until close of business on the day after next to collect the ball so don’t make a reservation unless you’re able to collect it within 48 hours. Once you’ve placed an online reservation, you are sent an e-mail with a reservation number – you MUST print this e-mail and bring it to the store with you. Although the ball is blue on the website picture, there’s no indication that there is a colour range. I was told at the store that I wouldn’t...

Big Ball Bonanza
Review of Pro-Fitness Gymnastic Ball by
chellbian
Advantages: Good exercise for those with a bad back. Exercise without the hard work.
Disadvantages: Ummm...can't find any!
...In the heat of the New Year Resolution rush, I found a Pro-Fitness Gym ball in Tesco. For the cheap and cheerful price of £2.97, I took home a big, silver blob of plastic and a pump. Let's just say that after pumping away at the blob for a least twenty minutes, I didn't need to do any arm toning exercises for two days! Bonus!
Once the ball was up and bouncing, I tried some of the exercises that were shown on the leaflet and found them easy to follow and, more importantly, easy to do in the comfort of my own living room. Within a week I had misplaced the leaflet and spent the next few weeks simply rolling around the room. Great fun!
I suffer with back ache and sciatica and therefore cannot indulge in high impact exercise often. The gym ball allows me to tone and sculpt without putting any extra pressure on my back; in fact, it supports...

NSD Powerball NEON PRO
Review of NSD Powerball by
dingoo
Advantages: fun, adictive, fairly priced, health effects
Disadvantages: care for the ball, can't drop it, can be hard to grip and start
...is a relatively new craze and hasn’t lifted off as yet but I’m sure it will, prices range from 15 pounds to 70 pounds relating to which ball you get.
Powerballs
250hz
2590hz pro
Neon
Neon pro
Techno
Signature
Metal (silver) 350hz
Metal black 350hz
The basic model is the 250hz powerball, which is the same design as the rest but without the digital Speedo; the techno is the same design but has different colors in one ball.
The also has a unique way of scrolling the spin result using the LED’s instead of the Speedo, the metal balls are the professional balls which achieve greater pressure and speeds.
The signature ball costs 25.99 pounds and is basically a pro with higher standard plastics and innards with smoky plastic and brighter LED’s plus this ball is 350hz like the two metal higher end range balls.
The price range from...

My Sexy Mouse
Review of Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 - mouse by
Kelvan
Advantages: Looks Sexy! Nice & Comfy! No Sticking!
Disadvantages: None
...What can I say?!?! I bought this mouse six months ago now, mainly because, I just liked the idea of a mouse without a ball and it looked sexy!
Its cost me £35 from an online shop, and for those who don't know, it doesn't use a ball, it uses Microsoft's IntelliEye (Optical Technology) Instead of having a ball moving around the reels in the mouse, it has a laser that scans the surface lots of times a second, replacing the ball.
The obvious advantage to this is that without the ball, there is no dust and dirt to be be picked up by the mouse, and no sticking, so the cursor always remains smooth!
Now to the look of the mouse, its a silver color, with a transparent underneath which glows a nice sexy red because of the red light that scans the surface. You can even use this mouse as a torch!!!
It has four buttons (Five if you include...

Cool as ICE but pricey
Review of Akasa Silver Mountain 2Q AK-900S by
scoopy2scoops
Advantages: Keeps your CPU cool as ICE
Disadvantages: Expensive, difficult to fit for a newbie
...Heat sinks for those of you who don't know use air flow and heat conduction to take heat away from the CPU in the PC to prevent it overheating.
Basic specs:
The Alaska Silver Mountain is a silver plated copper heatsink designed for Socket A Athlon CPU's. I bought mine because of a recommendation from a fellow techy who believed it was the best Heat Sink he'd ever worked with.
Basic specs:
Supports AMD Athlon XP 3200+; Pure Copper Heatsink with Silver Plating; Sanyo Denki Ball Bearing Fan; Fan Rated Speed 4, 600 R.P.M.; Fan Air Flow 23 CFM; Fan Noise 33 dB(A); DIM 72 X 60 X 65 mm.
I got mine for £25 which is steep when £7 can buy an adequate heat sink. I don't really know what made me pay that much as I wasn't interested in clocking up the CPU I had (which requires a good heat sink).
The heat sink kept my CPU XP1900 below 30c...

Just try and get me unstuck!
Review of Geomag SA 46 Piece Panel Set by
MunchkinClaire
Advantages: Attractive, sturdier than the Colour option.
Disadvantages: You run out of parts pretty quickly
...Geomags Panels are an ingenious Swiss-made toy product made up of "plastic rods (27 mm length and 7.4 mm diameter) featuring two permanent magnets placed at the two extremities and a steel plug positioned between the two magnets" (the silver rod things in the picture), "nickle-plated steel spheres (12.7 mm diameter)" and transparent plastic panels in various shapes (square, triangle, diamond, pentagon). Using these rods, balls and panels you can build much stronger structures and models, both static and moving.
A 46 piece set contains 13 silver rods, 12 balls, 1 red pentagon, 6 blue squares, 6 yellow diamonds and 8 green triangles.
I purchased this for £3. I'd seen the sets before but had always been put off by their price, and £3 seemed a reasonable price to pay just to see if this product was any good. So I got a set. I took it home...

A Dyson to die for!
Review of Dyson DC 15 THE BALL Allergy Silver/Yello by
weaholt
Advantages: Great for picking up pet hair, easy to move
Disadvantages: pricey,
...The Dyson DC15 is a fantastic upright hoover. The revolutionary addition is "the ball" - this means that the hoover has a ball at its core instead of the usual wheels. This makes it super easy to manoeuvre and gets rid of the need to use a back and forth action. It promises to speed up the cleaning for you - and I must say - it really does! The ball does take a bit of getting used to as at first it's difficult to resist the usual way in which you would move a hoover around the room, but it gets easier! In addition to this, I personally did notice that it made my wrists ache when I first bought the hoover. My husband did not notice this as he obviously has stronger wrists (no crude jokes please!) but again, I got used to this and after a few weeks did not suffer from any aches or pains.
The hoover gives you the option of turning off...

I always knew you had a Screw loose...
Review of Screwball Scramble by
swizzles
Advantages: Great fun- challenging enough even for adults.
Disadvantages: Only for 1 player, loud timer, clattery.
...as the game uses fairly small ball-bearings (approx 1.5cm dia.)that look attractive and could easily be picked up and swallowed by young children.
Setting Up:
I found the game really easy to set up as you only need to slot a few pieces into the top of the main body of the game such as the timer and hoop. You don't have to play with the 60 Sec timer on which is good if you don't want the noise or can't stand the PRESSURE!!!
Game:
The object of the game is to guide, via the controls on the game, a silver ball-bearing around a crazy obstacle course without letting it drop, within the time limit of 60 sec. if you are using the timer.
The design of the game itself is a sight to behold as it looks very much like a park with a lake due to the green plastic used on the main body with painted blue lake beneath the beams.
The controls are well placed...

Trainer Heaven
Review of Nike Total 90 T.F. by
mercedes007
Advantages: comfy looks good
Disadvantages: None
...Absoloutely amazing. That is how I would describe this most recent piece of technology by nike. This boot mat well be an astro turf boot but this is one boot that will not be forgotten for a while. Its said to be just like wearing a foot sock playing in them, and I agree.
The level of comfort in these astroturfs is outstanding, I have never played in such comfortable boots. They have enhanced cushioning on the soles and the heels and can be worn for casual use or for playing football. For me, they are great for both.
They are a very attractive boot and playing in them not only feels good, but it also looks good. The tongue on them is an automatic fold over, so it doesn't mean you have to be trying for hours to keep the tongue down on them. There is a vast choice of colours including, blue, red, yellow, aluminium silver and black...
