Like sleeping on a giant lilo.
Review of Aero Luxury Series AeroBed by
drewish
Advantages: Easy to inflate. Good value. Portable. Very comfortable.
Disadvantages: You need an electricity supply for inflation.
...The Aerobed comes in various guises - single, double and king size and raised (at normal bed height) or as a stand alone mattress. Prices range from around £50 for a single mattress, to £140 for a raised king size bed.
All the beds come with an integrated pump, which inflates it automatically in just a minute for a mattress or three minutes for full size version. Unfortunately, this requires a mains electricity supply, so it is not ideal for camping, unless you have access to electricity. There doesn't seem to be a foot pump option included, which would be a useful extra.
I would recommend this bed wholeheartedly, however, as a spare bed for guests, or even as your main bed. It is incredibly comfortable and comes with its own valance. One advantage over a traditional bed is that, if you need the extra space in your room, it can simply...

great little bed for small spaces
Review of Ikea Ajustable Toddler Bed by
kat_pond
Advantages: extendable, fits in small rooms, makes a nice transition from cot to bed
Disadvantages: need to purchase special mattress, not suitable for adults, not great quality
...We bought this bed because our son was growing out of his cot and had to choose one that fitted in the tiniest bedroom in the world - basically the size of a large cupbard. A normal sized single bed would be too big. This bed is ideal for the purpose we chose. Because this bed is uniquely adjustable you need to purchase a special mattress (which comes in three parts) seperately and likewise you need to purchase special bottom covers too. However a friend I know got around this by using pillow cases on the head and foot end mattresses. The bed comes flat packed in three parts plus the slats which need to be put together. My husband claims it was very easy and only took him about 20 minutes.
You start off with the bed being in the smallest position which means having the head and foot ends in the upright position. The minimum length...

An absolutely cracking toddler bed.
Review of Ikea Ajustable Toddler Bed by
sarah943617
Advantages: Will last for years. Not too expensive. Easy to assemble.
Disadvantages: Low to ground - not good for your back!
...it can be a bit of a strain on your back putting the kids to bed. Also, if your child likes you to get in bed with them you're going to be fairly squashed!
Overall I think this is easily one of the best toddler to child beds around right now and is well worth the £80 -90 I think it cost at the time as I wont have to shell out again for a full size single bed later on as I would have had to do with a non-adjustable toddler bed. It looks nice and does it's job - what else can i say?...

Fire! Fire! Fire!
Review of Step 2 Fire Engine Toddler Bed by
bexilou
Advantages: Great design, very cute
Disadvantages: Not straight forward to put together
...of use out of it. I've seen them sell quite well on Ebay too so you might even be able to get some money back out of it once it has been used.
It's wipe clean all over apart from the mattress which you might need a protector as I mentioned above.
The sides are quite high on it so you don't have to worry about a young toddler falling out of it. I moved my son into his Fire Engine bed when he was 21 months old and hasn't fallen out once. He still sleeps in his beloved Grobags too.
It doesn't take up a lot of room.
Despite its bulky appearance it's not that big. It's about the same size as a cot bed. It's not as long as a single bed.
Bedding.. It takes cot bed bedding but I have bought normal single bed bedding and have just tucked in the excess underneath. I found single bedding cheaper to buy from high street shops then cod bed...

Press- button comfort........WONDERFUL !!!.
Review of Adjustamatic by
pat175
Advantages: Comfort.......under your own control
Disadvantages: None.
...or no balance, can perform the everyday necessities of life, quite easily. The leg rest raises to an almost sitting position and by adjusting the position to suit your individual needs, you’ll find your ideal position for watching television, reading or eating in bed.
The Adjustamatic bed also has a vibrating massage feature, which is on a time switch of up to 1 hour. The back and leg massages work independently and are just wonderful. After a tiring day, it’s so nice to switch the massage on and lay back and enjoy having the stresses and strains of the day, gently soothed away
Back in 1976, when I purchased my Adjustamatic bed, I paid £600 for a single (3-ft) size bed and in the 28 years since then, the price hasn’t risen. You can also buy double size beds, where each side of the bed has its own control, enabling individual use...

the bed that grows!
Review of Ikea Ajustable Toddler Bed by
madriggie
Advantages: low to the ground
Disadvantages: "full" sized sheets can only be bought at ikea due to the beds features
...a toddler bed, it can be used by a full sized adult because the ends have part of the mattress in them so when the kids are little, both ends are up so the bed is not that long but as they grow, both ends can be dropped and the result is the bed is actually longer than a normal single bed. The down side to this is that no sheet is long enough for it, these sheets can only be bought in ikea, but if you only have one side down, you can get away with not putting the sheet over the end which is up, this works well for us.
I would recomend this bed from toddler to teens its so versitle, I won't be replacing it when Ewan gets older!...

The linen on my marriage bed
Review of Dorma Bed Linen by
mumsymary
Advantages: Long lasting good quality
Disadvantages: Price
...classis but modern too. Dorma bed linen comes in a variety of sizes, Single 135 x 200cm XO01, Double 200 x 200cm XO02, King 230 x 220cm XO03 , and Super king 260 x 220cm XO04. Standard sized pillow cases to match are available valances and curtains too.
Dorma bed linen does not come cheap, some patterened designs costing £35 for a double sheet, £85 for a double duvet cover. I seem to remember our bedding quite expensive in the seventies. I note they do an organic range now white or cream covers costing £60 for a double duvet cover
However Dorma bed linen is made of good quality cotton soft fine cotton yet strong. It washes well. Long lasting. Dorma bed linen looks good too. Sleeping in Dorma linen feels good it is good quality soft not harsh.

Step2 Stock car convertible bed
Review of Step2 Stock Car Convertible Bed by
clare0702
Advantages: Last a lot longer than a toddler bed, easy to assemble, looks great.
Disadvantages: Takes up a lot of space, can be a bit pricey if you dont shop around.
...What a fantastic bed. I wanted a bed that my toddler could keep for a long time, not just up until he was 4, but longer, as this kind of bed is not cheap. I saw this in a major toy store and loved it as it not only starts as a toddler bed but then converts into a full size single bed.
I researched the internet for a better deal as in the shops it retails for £295 and that's without a mattress! I found it on Amazon for over £100 cheaper and they threw in a toddler mattress. It was delivered within 48 hours, they unpacked it for me and put it up in by boy's bedroom - how's that for service?
It is VERY big, so if you have a small room I would think twice. It was really easy to assemble as all the pieces are thick plastic and slot in together. I took me about 20 minutes to put it together but another hour to put all the stickers on...

A desk that thinks it's a bed
Review of The Besk by
jonwhite
Advantages: Innovative, Space Saving, Exceptionally well made, converts easily between a bed and a Desk
Disadvantages: Some may think it a little pricey
...rooms to have a dual purpose.
Introducing The BESK, “The Desk that thinks it’s a Bed”. This unique, beautifully engineered piece of furniture converts from a desk to a bed in just 60 seconds and is available in both Double and Single bed sizes and comes complete with its own futon too.
Crafted by engineers at Grendon Underwood near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, from aluminium and birch, the BESK is both lightweight and very strong. The BESK has been awarded BS1725 and BS4875. These are the British Standards for Desks and Beds. Meaning that the BESK is as strong, stable, and comfortable as a normal bed and desk. To my knowledge no Sofa Beds have achieved this high standard.
BESK as a DESK
As a desk, this product is extremely sturdy and would look good in any office or spare room; it can also be used as a breakfast or dining table too. Desk...

mellow, but fun album
Review of Return To The Last Chance Saloon - Bluetones (The) by
y2kati
Advantages:
Disadvantages:
...13 tracks and 62 minutes long. This contains the singles 'Solomon Bites the Worm', 'Sleazy Bed Track' and 'If...' and was released in 1998.
One problem with this album is that if you're one of those people that like to know the words, then you'll like having the lyrics printed in the front of the album. They are in this but they're all joined together like one long word so it takes a while to actually read them.
Apart from that, this is a great album, and my favourite of the three.
Buy it if... you liked the singles...
