Shaving gel in the bath
Review of Slazenger Slazenger Shower Gel by
Mikew79
Advantages: Stylish bottle, lathers well
Disadvantages: Overpowering aroma
...My daughter very kindly bought me some Slazenger 'invigorating body responsive foaming shower gel' for Xmas. Although I received the gift with suitable grace and thanks, I have to say that I thought that it was shaving gel as opposed to shower gel because it came in an aerosol style pressurised container and looked very similar to my usual shave gel.
This product comes in an attractive slim purple and green 200ml container with a blue plastic top. The gel is light blue in colour and has a strong masculine aroma, a bit too overpowering for me I am afraid. You don't need to use very much at all as it lathers up really well, just like shaving gel in fact. I respect Slazenger as a quality brand name in sports and leisure but I have to say that I think they are better off making tennis rackets, sorry....

Slazenger V500 Select Cricket Bat
Review of Slazenger Select by
Barthezz
Advantages: Brilliant middle, nice design
Disadvantages: None as yet
...After finishing my first season at my local cricket club with no cricket bat of my own, I decided it was about time to buy my own.
After lots of recommendations about different bats I decided to go to the sports store and find out more.
Thats when I stumbled upon an end of season price for the Slazenger V500 Select of £30. Usually this particular bat is £70. I plumped for the Short handle (mainly because it was the only one left in the shop!!).
I wasn't disappointed.
The bat didn't need 'knocking in' due to the protective cover over the front so I was straight in the Winter Nets with it. After a few overs getting used to the bat, I found the middle quite easily. The middle of this bat is not for the faint hearted!! A nice cover drive saw the ball hurtling THROUGH the bottom of the net and towards the far corner of the room. Next...

Composite King
Review of Slazenger T12 [TV Advertisement] by
Kuli2
Advantages: I cant fault it
Disadvantages: Non
...I bought that Slazenger T12 after I used one of my friends during a game. The stick was great! It was very powerful when used for hitting and it could strike the sweet spot on the ball perfectly. The stick had a distinct bend in it which helped loads when I used it for flicking and taking penealty strokes.
Another great thing about the stick is that it comes in weights from light for attackers to medium for midfielders and heavy fro defenders. The stick also comes in lenghts from 36" to 37".
Another great thing about the stick is that it can be used easily for making a crucial jab tackle. It is light and long enough to make the important first nudge, recoil and repoistion ready for the next tackle.
It is great!...

Review of Slazenger Test Gold 'A' by

Advantages: Cheap, good ball
Disadvantages: NONE!!
...This ball is of great quality for the price that it is and theball offers great speed and has a long lasting seam and the leather of the ball is of amazing quality. I originally bought this ball in Decathlon for aprice of £4 and was just waning to take down to the nets on a dail basis. Yet I was amazed by the fantastic leather that offered antastic resistance to let the leather become damb so that it bounces about 1 inch. I have now had this all for just over 6 months and the Slazenger logo is still on it and it is just as in perect condition of how i bought it. great ball for such a cheap price. I would reccomend this as a ball to get. 10/10. This ball is of great quality for the price that it is and theball offers great speed and has a long lasting seam and the leather of the ball is of amazing quality. I originally bought this ball...

My 1st
Review of Slazenger Super by
nbasker3
Advantages: Good starter Bat V800
Disadvantages: Succeptible to damage
...This bat was my first proper cricket bat. I was so happy when i bought it and i spent eight full hours knocking it in. When i took it to school to use however, the toe end of the bat had a chunk knocked out of it. I was so dissapointed as i had spent almost £100 on it. I took it back to the shop and they sent it to Slazenger who had it repaired. I was very happy with the job they did. After this minor mishap the bat served me well playing for colts and men's teams. It has an excellent middle and i have scored numerous runs with it. It is fairly light and has a excellent pick up. The shape of the bat makes it more aerodynamic. Endorsed by greats such as Mark Waugh the V800 super series is a good choice. I would recommend this bat for first time players who are looking to develop their game and are not looking to spend a fortune...

Pro Test Batting Gloves
Review of Slazenger Pro Test Gloves by
nickbolton
Advantages: Well protected and comfy
Disadvantages: Too big velcra and Expensive
...The Ultimate Glove. More technology here than in an aircraft, there well protected, comfy and look good! I've had a pair for a year now and have fallen in love with them. Although I've only been hit there a few times it hurts distinctively less than any of my previous gloves. Quad Flex, Hex Tech impact absorption, fibre inserts, Slazenger's airflow system, are the official names for all the protection bits. The palms also absorb your sweat so cuts out the need for inner gloves. They are very durable (mine are still in good condition after a year playing a few times a week!). However one note of caution, the Velcro is slightly too big for the strap, so if you like to wear a woolly jumper when batting it often attaches itself and can get very annoying. They are also one of the more expensive gloves at around £60. Overall they are defiantly...

Squash Everything
Review of Tennis in General by
MarcusPerkins
Advantages: Weight , Head size
Disadvantages:
...The saying goes that a bad workman should never blame his tools. Well I brought my Slazenger Mystique 460 squash racquet for £30.00 in a discount sports store. It felt the most balanced and lightweight racquet for the price and it has improved my game no end. I started playing again after a long absence and brought a cheap model to start off. I was always struggled in the power hitting against my opponents but this racquet has improved that no end. Tighter strings and a larger head definitely help. It is made of Graphite and is not as light as the more expensive Titanium racquets but has helped me enormously....

Cricket anyone?
Review of Slazenger Super by
beanie8844
Advantages: great bat, you can hit the ball miles
Disadvantages: could be seen as quite heavy
...in the sportshop to make sure the one you buy is the correct size and weight for you. If the bat is too light you won't be able to hit the ball as far as you would like and if its too heavy you won't get to the ball in time, meaning you may miss it completely, miss-time it or edge it behind.
Although I am more of a bowler than a batsmen I do enjoy batting and for this reason have always had nice bats. I tend to buy them at the end of the season though when cricket manufacturers are thinking of next years products and therefore reduce the stock from the season just passed. I have always done this and typically you get between 30 and 50% of the advertised price. The bat I currently use is the V600 SUPER made by Slazenger; it is the bat used by Mark Butcher of Surrey and England. As bats go it is quite large and weighty and has a large sweetspot...

The gray nicholls millenium
Review of Gray Nicolls Millennium by
AdonisC
Advantages: quality of the wood is superb,as is the feel and pick up.
Disadvantages: can be quite expensive
...I have found that, over the years, the name gray nicholls is synonymous with quality and they certainly live up to this title with this bat, made to celebrate the millennium. The class of the company is noticed when one considers the number of international cricketers around the globe that endorse their products.
In this bat they, once again, manage to get a good pick up and balance, something I find quite hard to find, especially on slazenger and newbury bats. One also has the option of being able to customise where you want the middle, for example, lower down if you intend to play on damp soft pitches, or higher up if the grounds are harder and somewhat bouncier. In addition, gray nicholls offer an oval handle, which makes it a lot easier to play straight down the line of the ball, as this is the natural motion, so in theory...
