...to read but it plays well and has never skipped from a bump or read error. The tuner has excellent reception, without a booster aerial. The auxilary input, which is my mp3 player is good as long as you have the EQ on the mp3 player off, and about 90% volume, too low will create more noise and too high will create distortion. I have the non MP3 version which cant play MP3s, so an mp3 player connected via a jack works just fine. The 3 band EQ on the unit is good as you can edit it from +10 to -10db. All the setting hold and can be stored. The only flaws I have with the unit are a fairly basic display, which is typical of a budget sony, but still a spectrum analyser would be nice. ...i bought one of these when they first came out early 2006 to replace my knackered Sony cassette Player at the time this was the only Sony car radio i could find that had the Sony CD changer Controls and an input for the Sony Steering wheel remote i already had fitted to my car the other big bonus was the Line out/ Sub out as i had just fitted two 12" subs in the boot the Screen colours red and white blended in very well to the interior lighting of my car i struggled to get a good balance of sound from the system as if it was in sub out mode the subs in the boot would drown out the rest of the speakers with sub out switched off it would become too tinny and stress the subs trying to cope with higher pitched audo they where not designed for after a bit of playing i did managed to find a good middle point that provided good... ...are tiny, you really do have to strain your eyes to make out the pixels, the image is that clear. I've also got no dead pixels yet which is pleasing considering over a third of TFT monitors gain dead pixels in the first month of usage!...Anyway in the event of this Sony offer a free one year warranty which means I simply take the monitor back to where I bought it and sony will despatch another immediately. Its really easy to use also, with the on screen menu and you'll gt everything you need to get started.
