Reviews of sony m1
I'm very happy with mine
Review of Sony KLV L23M1S by
paulpemby
Advantages: Clear picture, crisp sound, thoughtful design
Disadvantages: Lacks definition on fast images, no HDMI socket
...I have owned this TV for over 2 years now and have had no problems with it what so ever. The rounded silver design creates a clean modern look which would look at home in almost any room.
Sony have been very considerate with the design of this unit by utilising covers on the rear to double up as cable tidys. All rear sockets are covered over by plastic covers which channel all the cables to one central point allowing them all to be clipped together and avoid the unsightly cable jungle that is behind most TVs.
The picture quality on this TV is generally very good although it does seem to struggle a bit with fast moving images or scrolling text. I have only viewed a standard signal on my set so cannot comment on how it performs with a HD signal. The colours are bright and clear with a great contrast which seems standard place for Sony now...

Sony a TV....but I Like it
Review of Sony KV-14 M1 by
Reviewster
Advantages: great picture, great sound, great looking
Disadvantages: no teletext, but coloured buttons on remote
...So I haven’t been on Ciao for a while, my sincerest apologies, but I'm back with a bounce and here is another review for you to sink your teeth into if you like it, or your claws if you don’t! It’s about my new Sony TV, the Wega 14 KV14LM1U. So where did it all begin…..
…..I recently moved house and with this changed all my household goods, one of which was the TV, I needed a new one and I needed one bad. I know that people say that before TV there was the wireless and cards and games and that life was wonderful yada yada, but stop…it just aint the same without TV.
So I had a choice of what to buy. I choose the Sony 14” TV that I am reviewing today. It cost £180, which is expensive I think for the size, but I was a sucker for that little SONY logo at the bottom. You can get 14” other brands at a much cheaper price, yes...

Sony vaio z1sp
Review of Sony VAIO Z1SP - Pentium M 1.5 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
cutmore
Advantages: very light at 2.15kg
Disadvantages: none
...Although they both carry the Centrino badge, Sony’s latest VAIO couldn’t be more different from the Toshiba Portégé R100. While the latter dumps every scrap of ballast in its bid for ultra-light status, the Z1SP weighs in at a portly 2.15kg. This is far from useless bulk, though – there’s more laptop here in whichever direction you look. The Z1SP boasts the faster 1.5GHz version of the Pentium M processor, it has twice as much memory and twice as much hard disk – there’s just about twice as much of everything, in fact. Except battery life – you get three times as much of that. Sony has opted to keep the size and spec at the top end of the VAIO range, but has used the Centrino architecture to ramp up the endurance to almost a whole business day. This is despite the 14.1-inch screen and internal DVD/CD-RW drive.

A decent if pricey laptop
Review of Sony VAIO GRX416SP - P4-M 1.8 GHz - 16.1" TFT by
thehud
Advantages: Well specced, powerful
Disadvantages: Pricey
...A snappy little title to be sure, the Sony Vaio PCG GRX416SP can be had for £1,645 at dabs.com according to the very nice Kelkoo site, although when you check out the Dabs site itself the product isn't to be found.
It is a laptop recommended for the business user, although at the price represents a decent enough bargain for even the enthusiastic hobbyist. It has a Intel Pentium 4-M 1.8 GHz processor and comes with 512 MB (DDR SDRAM) internal RAM memory.
Just in terms of other anorak-ist stuff before we kick off in real earnest, here's the info I got from another computer sales site (Dealtime):
Display - 16.1 in. TFT active matrix
Operating system -Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Display size - 16.1 in, TFT active matrix, at a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200
40 Gb hard disk
Contains CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive
Many of the Sony Vaio...

Small but not necessarily perfectly formed.
Review of Sony VAIO TR5MP - Pentium M 1.1 GHz - 10.6" TFT by
hazeydazey
Advantages: Tiny and light.
Disadvantages: Flimsy, and bad customer service.
...Around four years ago I purchased a Sony TR1MP for £1700 (and that was a cheap internet price at the time). This has exactly the same exterior to the TR5MP but slightly less in stats. I acquired my TR5MP by sending my old TR1MP back (after one years' of use) for 'review' to Sony because I believed that the bit where you rest your hands, just before the keyboard, was warping and dipping in. Oh, and I am not some chunky man, I am a size 8 (European) petite girl. Sony refused to accept that this was a problem and so decided to charge me £45 for the bother of them looking at it. I was absolutely appalled and felt abused by these huge national corporations. These guarantees really aren't worth the paper they are written on. After two months of them threatening me that if I didn't cough up they would dispose of my laptop, they decided to send...

Sony how I love you
Review of Sony VAIO FX802 - Athlon XP 1500+ 1.33 GHz - 14.1" TFT by
funkyoz
Advantages: the look, the touchpad, the screen
Disadvantages: weight
...When I got into college, I figured I needed a computer just for myself, so I did some intensive research to find out what would fit me best. At first I considered buying a used laptop, but since I'm kinda a material girl, I wanted a new one, and I wanted it to look nice too. Ever since I met my hubby, I slowly became addicted to Sony, their products are just outstanding, the quality is always good, exellent helpdesk, and reasonable prices. So, after a month of asking around and surfing the net, I finally decided that the sony fx-802 would be my future goodie.
Here are some specs:
