...This series is the third series in the star trek franchise, and this time it changes and breaks the mould, it is no longer a new or different starship enterprise in fact it is not even set aboard starship, it is set aborad the space station Deep Space Nine hence the title Star Trek Deep Space Nine. This means that the story has to be more character based many times as the station does not move through space so the same people are there all the time. This was solved by the makes mind in the third season of the show when the space station was given a starship to use as well, this allowed for more exploration based shows. This is my favourite series out of the four different types of star treks, and is by far the best. ...The Dorling Kindersley Encyclopaedia of Space is one of the popular series of Eyewitness publications from DK. This particular CD Rom version is packed with interesting facts and figures . The program is well laid out and divides into a number of sections. It includes a comprehensive reference on the Universe, sections the solar system, the planets, the cosmos, stars, deep space and the history of space travel. The program includes some activities, 3D model views and a space quiz. One of the most useful sections for star gazers is the star dome. This gives detail maps of objects in the sky which can be seen from a specified location on the Earth's surface at any time of day or night and at any time of year. This is particularly useful in locating planets, constellations etc. I would recommend this.... Read review

Advantages: Good actors, some fantastic episodes

...Not being an anorak Sci-Fi viewer, I feel I have an unbiased opinion. The first generation of Star Trek was good, with most of the episodes, except a few poor attempts, we exciting. The next generation star trek, deep space nine, Voyager and other modern sci-fi's lack the exciting days of the first generation Star Trek. Cardasion Peace treaty's and politics ruin the new Star Trek, with many episodes based upon Captain Pickard and the Peace Treaty or Star Trek exploring more territory and finding a peaceful, boring race. Sorry, but the producers must try harder as the storyline is abysmal. Gene Roddenberry has really lost her touch. However, some new episodes can be fantastic but sadly, those episodes are in a big minority.... Read review

...This space adventure parody will be enjoyed by many Star Trek and non Str Trek fans around the globe. If you remember back to the days of Police Quest, Lesure Suit Larry and Kings Quest will find this right up their street. It features an extensive story line with tongue in cheek humor and alot of in-jokes. From space binbags to you're crew who can't abide you, there is alot to play for. ...For any of you out there that like sci-fi this is a program that you should watch. There are a few different star trek programs on the tv now days. These include Star Trek Generations Star Trek Deep Space 9 and Star Trek Voyager. All of these are very good. If you have never seen them before you must watch them. I think that out of all three of them Star Trek Voyager is the best. I say this because it is different from the others. The ship voyager is alone far from home and they are trying to make it back but it will take over 60 years to get home. It has a good plot and is worth watching.... Read review

...This is my second favourite of the Star trek Series. The story line of Deep Space 9 is almost as good as Voyager, but still great. The current story on BBC 2 is that the Alpha quadrant has been invaded by the GemKAda (not sure how to spell), a genetically modified person to fight and protect the Dominion. After invasion they allied with the Cardasions, enemy of Star Fleet. Star Fleet tries to allie with current enemys to defeat them. Capt. Sisco, who is the capt or Deep Space 9, must protect the worm hole. He and his team monitor the worm hole, and are the first defence against whatever comes through it from the Gamma quadrant. DS9 is great as there is a new prototype ship, which is the only one in Star Fleet which has cloak ability. There is also a shape shifter, Odo, from the Gamma quadrant. DS9 is great!... Read review

...Apollo 13 is an incredible depiction of the real life space drama. It has an all star cast including Tom Hanks, Kevin Bacon, Bill Paxton, Gary Sinise and Ed Harris. They all play their roles perfectly and manage to create the tension and courage that creates the film. It has a great plot which seems awful to say since it is all true but it makes for gripping watching and is highly entertaining. The special effects round it off creating space and all it individual marvels and bring the crippled space craft to life. This is an amazing story and is excellently told. A must see.... Read review

...I had never heard of a Mitsubishi Space Star until I went looking for a Honda Civic (does that make sense?) You see my local Honda dealer (J.T Hughes in Telford) is next door to a Mitsubishi dealer (J.T Hughes in Telford). I wanted a diesel and Honda have only just started taking diesels seriously, so the Civic offerings at that time only had the Isuzu 1.7 engine, and the economy was not listed at being that good. I Looked around at all the used cars for sale and saw lots of Space Stars, and they were all very reasonably priced compared to what Honda were offering. I could have a one year old Space Star diesel for the price of a three year old civic. So I went away and did some homework on the Space Star and booked myself a test drive. ...Someone at the studio is thrashing the Star Trek organisation to squeeze the last life out of the franchise. Voyager is an interesting premise: Star Trek plus Lost In Space. It also has some interesting plots and a discernable thread which leads towards a genuine resolution - hopefully - which in itself will be unique in TV science fiction. The characters are strong but straight out of the recipe book (Tin Man: Spock/Odo/Data/Doctor, etc) I think this will endure better than the others and deservedly so. The ratings are not so good for Voyager, possibly because it is more intelligent than the others. Nine out of ten.... Read review

...Shopping around for a decent family car I stumbled across the Mitsubishi Space Star. After looking around at the usual Scenic and Picasso etc I was a bit unsure about the relatively unknown Space Star. First thing that jumps out at you about the Space Star is the massive array of equipment supplied as standard. Alloy wheels, air con, CD player, roof bars, electric mirrors/windows.....The list goes on and on. On the outside the S.S does not look a very large vehicle, but once you ease into that driving seat you will be amazed at the space inside ( I am 6ft 3 ") and have loads of room, as does anyone sitting behind me ! One feature that is of great use is the ability to slide the back seat back or forward to create a larger boot, very useful when I cram the car full of fishing equipment.
