...This washer dryer has all the features that I look for in a washer dryer, it could spin dry my clothes to 1600rpm which was very convenient when I needed to wash and dry clothes in a hurry. The quick wash feature is also very helpful and economical too. All in all, the washing machine element of this washer dryer is excellent. However, there have been many problems I have experienced with the dryer. I have owned the washer dryer for 2 years now and it has been necessary to call out an engineer to fix my appliance on 7 occasions. The entire heater has required replacing twice and the customer service has been totally unacceptable. However, on the positive side, if the dryer is not working at least the washer continues to function normally. I would rate the reliability of this product as very poor however the functionality as excellent.... Read review

Advantages: Reasonable Price, Easy to install, washes and dries clothes

Advantages: grey colour, lots of features

...i really like this washer dryer but only because it is a ncie colour (so fits in with the kitchen) and it washes clothes really well, when it comes to drying thoughm its useless, all it seems to do is heat up the wet clothes and not dry them. it seem quicker top hang dry them. if i had a choice i would buy a cheaper just washing machine and not go for the more expensive washer dryer as i do not bother to use the dryer function as, well its a waste of electricity. the washing on this machine is great though, you can wash your clothes in 30 mins on the fast wash which is great for me as my clothes dont go in muddy so only need freshening up. its quiet too (unless its on a super spin not on the fast wash) . overall i would say its a good washer dryer but i wouldnt recomend anyone to buy a washer dryer, i would say go for a hotpoint... ...I owned this machine for 18 months and during that time had a repair man out no less than 40 YES THATS 40 times, the drum paddles came loose 6 times, the dryer timer was replaced three times, we had the motor replaced four times and we also had a new door, two new electric control boards, drum bearings replaced once, two new drive belts and a whole new drum, these are among some of the repairs we had done on it during our time of owning it. ...I needed a washer / dryer mainly because I was fed up of either taking my washing home, or going to the laundrette. I bought the servis M4909 (what a catchy name) in November last year. The reasons I chose it were: 1. It was cheap, and so far I haven't found a cheaper washer / dryer on the market. and quite importantly 2. My mother had bought a Servis washer dryer about 3 months before hand and was very pleased with it. I confess to knowing next to nothing about washing machines and I only ever use the 40 degree quick wash and the tumble dryer. Disadvantages: consider a full size dryer (6kg+) if you can.

...KG Dryer. Also the one that I have is a uni-lateral dryer (i.e. It spins in one continuous direction, so you may have to stop the dryer mid cycle and redistribute your clothes). So consider buying a Reverse Tumble(one which spins in both directions, like a washing machine, thus your clothes are more evenly dried). Reverse version of this is the 382Wv. This is usually about £10 more expensive but it is benificial as it reduces creasing and dries clothes quicker. The energy rating for this dryer is "D", the Full The White Knight Dryer, also boasts "Sensor Dry", that means that if your clothes are all dry, the dryer will cut off the heat and blow cold air until the timer stops. I have not withnessed this happening, but I assume it will happen if you dry the one product (e.g. towels). I feel that this is a great safety device... Read review

...Since I bought my new house a over 2 years ago I needed a new washing machine, I have never really had a washer dryer before and was a bit dubious of buying a washer dryer in one as I have heard that they are not as good as a seperate washer and dryers but as I had no room for separate ones I ended up with getting this one. Anyway after trial and error with one company, I ended up going with Hotpoint. I ordered the WD640 Aquarius Washer Dryer in polar, it came, and like I said was a bit dubious of it as I am not very familiar with washer dryers at all. I was totally amazed by it. ...It is five years now since we purchased our tumble dryer. The dryer is the standard size height 85cm,width 60cm etc and the colour white. It has a drying capacity of cotton and linen 10lb and other items eg synthetics 4.5lb.It has a fluff filter fitted neatly at the front and very eay to remove and clean (preferable after every use).The vent fitting is easy so it can be vented to the outside. For this you can use 4 metres with 2 bends or 2 metres with 3bends.The vent is front or side. It is fitted with height adjusters. The instruction booklet enclosed has very clear information set out in easy to read pages. Features of the dryer also include: Store dry at 800rpm or 1000-1200rpm Iron dry at the same short spin setting between 20-50 mins Should you require after care service..It is quick and reliable. ...I have now had my washer/dryer for 4 years (purchase date 25/10/01). I have always had a washer/dryer and personally would not be without one. My previous one was a Hotpoint and as it had lasted over 12 years I was going to get another one. I started my search by going round the local curries and comets etc. After picking the brains of the salesperson (I had explained I wanted a high spin, A grade washer and A grade dryer) this Zanussi one was suggested. The reasons were that the salesperson had explained when I had stated that I wanted a high spin he suggested instead of looking for a high spin I look for one with the most holes in the drum. He explained-and it’s obvious when you think about it-that it doesn’t matter how much a machine spins if there isn’t enough holes to let out the water. ...'s something bizarrely fascinating about looking at the fluff that's been generated!) but apart from that there's precious little else to worry about. It can also be stacked on top of a suitable washing machine to save space, and is front loading. During my tumble dryer research it appeared that only C energy ratings were available, so trying to find anything better was a bit fruitless. I guess I just need to keep its useage down to a minimum. The drum size is 6kg which seems enormous when you see it, but don't be tempted to overload it else it takes the laundry forever to dry. Small loads in short bursts seems to work best. It includes an alarm facility which you can set if you want to be informed when the spin has finished and it also incorporates anti-crease and easy-iron options.
