...Every week night catch the Sky Sports centre, it’s like the 6 0’ clock news where every night you get a round up of all the sporting news. It’s mainly dominated by football but also includes other sports. I enjoy watching the ‘Sky Sports Centre’ especially if I have been busy and have been unable to catch up with all the latest sport. It has some really good interviews, whoever has been in the news that day, basically. On Friday they have previews of all the Saturday games, with stats, head to heads and interviews. They also have pick of the week which is where the bits moments are put together. A good show to watch to catch up on the world of sport. ..., and they had Liverpool’s game on, and that meant I could watch it as the channel that it was on the terrestrial TV, was not working. So Thankfully I did not miss it. They have top commentators on whichever sport they cover, and they have a sport’s centre where they round up the day’s sporting news. The channel is based on the Sports Centre which is a half hour news programme on Sky Sports (or an hour on fridays) at 6pm each night. However Sky sports.com TV means that you never miss any sporting action, it keeps you up to date with all the latest sporting results as well as giving you the breaking stories as they happen. This includes things such as the announcement of England squads in Football, Cricket and Rugby. With the caption at the bottom of the screen giving you sports news stories you do not miss any sporting stories. This is great for the die hard sports fan who does not have a lot of free time and just wants to quickly find out the latest sports news. ...Leeds Met is a former polytechnic university with a good reputation for business and also sport. The sporting facilities are amongst the best in the country and aside from that there are some very reasonably priced and well equipped gyms near the city centre as well. There are a number of good nightclubs around offering some good deals such as Planet Earth on a Wednesday night. There is also an excellent shopping centre with all major chain stores in attendance and a good selection of restaurants as well including Maxi's, a well-known chinese restaurant. ...Richard Dunns Leisure Centre named after the famous boxer from Bradford, Richard Dunn. The sports centre has a large swimming pool with slides and other water features. There are also a number of sports halls with wooden floors for badminton and indoor football. A number of other rooms are used for playing table tennis and doing weight training and aerobics. The weight training rooms have a large amount of equipment for cardivascular work, fitness, stamina and strenght workouts and traning. Out side a large gravel area is used for football and cycling but Bradford Hockey Club are pushing for this area and a large grass area to be turned into two Astro turf pitches so that Bradford and Richard Dunns Leisure Centre can become the north east England hockey coaching academy but the council are been very stubborn and wont let... ...In these days of soaring prices of all sports brand names, JJB have got it right they appear to be on average the cheapest sports shop on the high st. JJB are nearly every where they are in mnost city centres and now offer out of town stores. Both Branches in liverpool have basket ball courts for you to try out prospective sports gear to see if they are the right ones for you, also its an ice break to shoot some loops as a break from spopping. JJB Supply the latest Trends in sportswear as well as lots of last years brands at very reduced prices particulary HiTEc brand which in my experience are very good quality shoesand can cost as little as £15. Out of all the sports shops in liverpool and i assume elsewhere that jjb offer the biggest variety of sports wear and nearly always have all sizes in stock. JJBN staff are always helpful... ...Sky Sports.com TV is definitely a channel to watch once or twice a day for any fans of any sport, especially football, but it's usually not one to watch for more than half an hour in a row, as it starts to repeat itself. For people who don't like football, don't be misled by the football-themed names of the programmes, other sports are covered. The channel is basically the same news stories repeated all day but for a few new headlines and a few extra programmes such as What a Weekend and Fox Sports. Also there are useful updates at the bottom of the screen and an excellent idea that has world rankings, league tables and the like on the right hand side of the screen.
