...The Battle for Middle Earth 2 was one of my most eagerly awaited purchases to buy for the 360 , In the era of the RTS - real time strategy , EA created the game based on the Epic Lords of the Rings Trilogy. The game is not based on the books I have read or the Movie's I have seen. The game is based on good and evil each is given a long introduction that goes from movie into gameplay smoothly and effectively. What I noticed upon first playing was the staggering differences between the PC version and 360. The control system is hard to learn at first took me a good while to start learning the game play controls. EA should have looked at the control method better somehow the RTS games always play better with a mouse to control with. ...This game is by far the best experiance I had on xbox live. Not only has it got amazing multiplayer, but the singleplayer aint half bad either, with gripping story reminicant of the original command and conquer game. Also like the original, the cut scenes are filmed to a standard suitable to that of a hollywood thriller, which helps to put you into the role of a GDI commander. The graphics are perfect for the style of gameplay, and the ability to zoom in close gives the skirmishes between your units a more personalized feel. If you enjoyed any of the command and conquer series, or at the very least have ever enjoyed a strategy game, then I recommend this above almost any other game currently out for the 360. The multiplayer features can be extremely competitive, so if you get disheartened easily by loosing, its probably not the place... Read review

Advantages: A twist on the regular Halo Series
Disadvantages: May be disappointing

...I honestly cannot wait for this game to come out. Halo Wars is a real time strategy game, much like the infamous Command & Conquer games made by Electronic Arts. Many of my friends are avid fans of C&C and are simply wetting themselves, waiting for this game to come out. Personally, I think real-time strategy games are fairly boring and I pity them for playing C&C. However, I feel that this game will be an exception to this rule. If you are a fan of Time Commanders on BBC2 then you will see that this game uses the same game engine as that. ...Having played the demo I couldn't wait to get my hands on the full product and all I can say is WOW!! Ground control has got the best graphics I have ever seen in a game and everything is in the most luscious, realistic 3D. You can zoom in/out from ground level to cloud level and even spin 360 degrees around your troops. Unlike most other RTS games there's no strategy with mining or building, just pure tactical deployment of your troops, tanks artillery, aircraft........... Even the online multiplayer gaming is original. It's the first strategy game that lets you drop into ongoing games like in 1st person shoot-em ups. The minimum specs are 200Mhz , 32MB Ram and 3d accelerator but I doubt they would keep up with the game. Advantages: Amazing Graphics, Cunning AI

...this game excellent to play on your own and it increases if you go online to play. The graphics in this game are absolutely incredible, whether you are fully zoomed in to your units or zoomed out to see more of the battlefield the game shows the graphics perfectly looking stunning in HD. Another feature that shocked me in a large battle situation is that this game is almost lag-free and no matter how much combat or units are on your screen at once, the intensity of the gameplay does not falter with lag. Some people also say that the RTS (Real Time Strategy) genre should stay on the computer and that putting this game type on a console, these people are proven wrong with this game and even though you cannot respond as fast as you probably could on the computer the difference is negligable. Advantages: Good use of an old idea
Disadvantages: Can get repetitive for some people

There is a strategy element to this game with the onbjectives to take the whole of China section by section battle by battle while you compete with several different AI ganerals to take the country. Also during the battles you have to capture seperate bases within the battlefield creating a more strategic game to play. They have also reintroduced the character creation system that they missed out on in dynasty warriors for the 360. The character creation isnt much different from the last in the series but its still good with many different options for the gamer to pick and choose the look the fighting style and even the sound of thier custom character. They then can use the character in any meny battles that they will take place in. In the end if youve played one game of the series youve played them all but Dynasty Warriors... Read review

Advantages: Stunning looking. Indepth gameplay

...Madden is EA's biggest selling game. It makes the likes of FIFA seem unimportant. But us Brits have never really 'Got it'. I mean its called 'Football' but they hardly use there feet? At the end of the day its just a gleamed up Rugby, and ya know what? I love it. American football when you actually get into it plays more like a strategy game than anything else. You have to select the right defence or attack in order to progress. Its a very stop start type of game. But this adds to the atmosphere. Being 1 point behind and finally breaking through the line is just as exciting as scoring a screamer in FIFA. So the gameplay is pretty cool. What about everything else? Graphically its amazing. ...Skateboard for a BMX. This is more of a gimmick then a game play strategy as you are unable to complete many of the quests on your bike, but it does add a little fun into the mix. Classic Mode Tony Hawks American Wasteland's Classic mode is what I enjoy about this game. It takes you back to the days of Tony Hawks PRO Skater and allows you to do all the classic stuff you used to enjoy from collecting the letters S.K.A.T.E to finding that lucrative secret tape. In Tony Hawks American Wasteland's you can also do these classic levels in Co-Op mode allowing for a friend to join in the fun and complete the levels together. The only down point of classic mode is the length of play. There is only 6 Classic levels meaning that you can probably complete all of the goals in 5 hours max..
