A good Sunday read
Review of The Times by
redtaps
Advantages: lots to read, not expensive for all the information provided
Disadvantages: heavy to carry back from the newagents
...I have been reading the Sunday Times for the last 4 years and now my husband and daughter enjoy reading it as well.
We like to get the paper mid morning and sit with a cup of tea and spread it out, as there are so many sections we don't have to fight over who gets what first. I always have a copy reserved at my local newsagents as I have learn't from experience if its not reserved they sell quickly.
My husband will go for the main news and then the business section followed by the property section. My daughter will go for the Syle magazine first and i will go for the Sunday Times magazine. When my daughter was younger she would read the Funday Times but she has now graduated to the Style magazine as she feels she is more sophisticated! but occassionaly I catch her reading the Funday Times.
We used to read the Sunday Express...

The Sunday Times is the Sunday newspapers.
Review of The Times by
boydgray
Advantages: Covers every conceivable topic with authority.
Disadvantages: It's too big!
...Panic stations! It's Saturday morning and I still have not finished last Sunday's copy of The Sunday Times. There's just so much to read. I've counted it this week. There are no less than thirteen separate sections. Yes, thirteen! How will I ever do it justice before the next tranche lands with a sickening thud on the hall floor next Sunday?
I even have a strategy for dealing with this weekly trial of intellectual strength. But it does not seem to be working. First I dismiss those I have no interest in whatsoever. Out goes The Appointments section. Nobody is going to give me a job at 75K with benefits, whatever that means. The same goes for the one called - The Fifty Best Companies to Work for. Then there's The Funday Times? My children are too old for it now and we have no grandchildren, so it can be set aside too. The Sport Section...

Crap except the top 40 on sunday
Review of BBC Radio 1 by
zef
Advantages: easiest station to pick up
Disadvantages: full of crap
...I only listen to this radio for the chart rundown on sundays starting at 4 and going on untill 7. Other times it is quite rubbish. The morning breakfast show is rubbish Sara cox is vulagar and out of her depth and so was zoe ball. Mark and lard wernt funny they were just stupid. The daytime playlist is usually boyband crap and night time sort of diverses into the different types of music like hip hop and heavy metal and is usually crap. They often get famous DJs on like judge jools or whoever and they just play crap aswell. The programmes are crap and they play crap music....

Sunday Surgery on Radio 1
Review of BBC Radio 1 by
messsingh
Advantages: Good music, problems easy to relate to.
Disadvantages: Sometimes too long is spent on one problem
...Sunday Surgery is a radio show on radio 1 (97-99fm) that combines music with talking about problems. There is the normal dj (Emma B I think) and a qualified doctor (Mark Hamilton). It is a great show for teenagers and above but teenagers do benefit from listening to this show. People call up with problems (such as exam stress) and they are given advice, sometimes in humorous ways which is what people need to hear at times. They also read e-mails and offer an offline number which you can call anytime. The music played varies, but it is modern (such as Jennifer Lopez, Coldplay, Eminem etc). I recommend this show because it is very helpful, everybody can relate to at least one problem, it is not a completely serious show, and they have a joke aswell. Sunday Surgery is on Sunday nights from 9:00pm-11:00pm. Listen!...
