...After being a fan of the previous Monkey Ball games such as Monkey Ball Deluxe on the PS2, i had high expectations of the PSP equivilent, and i was dissapointed that it did not live up to my expectations. Where all previous monkey ball games have been based on puzzles trying to reach the goal without falling off and collecting bananas along the way, packed with fun minigames, the new version attempts a kind of 3D Mario platform style where you have to roll around the village completing objectives it the game simply doesnt accomplish this very well, with several glitches along the way. The best minigames such as Monkey target (the ball opens up to become wings and the aim is to land on a target for points) and Monkey racing (self explanatory) are still present but don't live up to their PS2 equivilants. In the second monkey ball you must tilt the stages to move ur character who is trapped in a ball by the evil genius Dr Baboon. Monkey Ball 2 is a game which is not exactly hard but not a very easy game either…I myself find the "game cube" controllers very complex but I am getting to grips with them so the game is getting slightly easier! ...The game is as the title suggests, it is super and it involves rolling monkeys encased in balls. You may be thinking, “this sounds simple”, it is, but don’t be fooled into thinking this is a child’s game, oh no. The game is more addictive than smoking, alcohol and even chocolate! You will find yourself playing this game at every opportunity you get, and craving it when you aren’t. The game’s controls are incredibly basic. You simple use the control stick to tilt the platform and roll the ball in whichever direction you desire. Your goal is to roll your monkey ball around the course and through the chequered flag at the end within a set time limit. The concept seems very easy, but it isn’t. .... Monkey Mini Golf gives you a varity of fun courses where your monkey becomes the ball, so get aiming and hope for a hole in one. Super Monkey Ball retails at around £15-£20 and i personaly feel it's worth the money. Its a fun game that isn't as easy as it looks on the harder levels. The graphics aren't bad at all and it's an enjoyable game for any age. It's simple to get going and easy to get into. It can be addictive. I've had this a few months and still haven't completed all the levels yet.... Read review

...Monkeys, balls you say? Oh dear, this all sounds a bit dodgy to me. The truth is, this is an extremely fun game, composed of monkeys in plastic balls. Now it may sound a bit pathetic, but it is far from that. Do you remember those little games where you tilt a little disk with ball bearings inside, so that they go into the little holes? Yes, Super Monkey Ball is rather like those, except you have to replace "little disk" with huge colourful arena containing many traps, "ball bearings" with large transparent plastic balls in which helpless little Japanese monkeys run around, and "go into little holes" with frantically scramble for a goal gate. ...Super Monkey Ball - probably one of the least hyped titles that has ever been. The GameCube's launch line-up looked perfect, but throughout all the hype before the GameCube release, no one thought that Super Monkey Ball would come out on top. It really is an 'Experience and believe' type of game. But regardless of it's hype (Which there wasn't much of) recent reviews by customers and in magazines really showed people what a game it is. If I didn't start talking about the multiplayer already, I'm sure I'd be killed by angry fans, so lets get straight to it. ...Well like most people I like my monkeys. I also like my balls. So if something were to swing my way with monkeys and balls then you'll find that it has my full attention. So bearing that in mind, imagine my emotions when I found a product that is not only packed with aforementioned monkeys and balls but is also SUPER! Rest assured things got a little bit messy. So what is Super Monkey Ball? You are a rather cute monkey trapped in a ball. I don't know why you're in a ball, and I care not to ask. What? You need more information? Is this not all you need to know to convince you to rush out and buy it? Very well...... The main game involves guiding your monkey to a goal in a set time limit. Simple? Yeah. Easy? ...Monkey Ball. Who thought that a monkey in a ball could bring so much entertainment to a family. With 50 mini games to choose from this is definitly the highlight of the game. But the main gamebrings fun as well giving the ability to play by yourself in a fun and adddictive campaign, with the objective being to get as many banannas as possible through a course. It uses amazing controls that bring you in to it by twisting and tilting ti turn the remote. Back to the mini games, there is wide selection to choose from all multiplayer but can be played singuarly as well. Theres is monkey bowling, boxing, darts, and snowboarding. With such a large selection to choose from you can easily play for ages nut without the chance of getting board.
