2001 BMW 330i SPORT M-Tech
Review of BMW 330Ci by
richie_11
Advantages: its amazing
Disadvantages: you spend to much time in it
...I have just purcahsed a BMW 330i sport M-tech and its awesome.
First the outside subtle sports detailing mean you stand out from the crowd and there are plenty of 3 series beemers around these days. If you want second takes then this is the model for you. Mine is a 2002 in silver.
Once you get over the gorgeous flared arches and the simple boot spoiler coupled with the agressive looking fornt you open the door. With the M-tech you step over the M badged door sill protectors and jump into gorgeous black leather sports seats. The door closes with and executive rasp as the air is squashed.
Once aboard you feel like you are in control the cockpit design means everything is aimed at pleasing one person, the driver. The finish is impecable with carbon fibre everywhere and simple delecate touches.
A twist of the key fires the 3Ltr straight...

The arse first ascent technique
Review of Ralf Tech Travelight Tech BCD by
atticusuk
Advantages: Lightweight and good life
Disadvantages: Air gets trapped on the ascent
...worth of clothes however I do ensure I have a good supply of anti-perspirent.
In the interests of reducing the weight of the kit I carry I decided to invest in a new lightweight BCD called the Ralf Tech Travelight Tech which is a wing design. For those who are not up on the technicalities of diving to give it its full name BCD stands for Buoyancy Control Device and is the means by which when at the surface a diver stays afloat as the jacket or wing design is attached via a hose to your air cylinder allowing you to add air to it similar to a life jacket and also to dump air out of it when you want to go down underwater. Once underwater air can be added or dumped to control your position in the water and to control both your ascent and descent speed.
As well as this primary use a BCD is also important as not only is your cylinder attached...

Paradox Entertainment's Finest Hour
Review of Hearts of Iron (PC) by
fireeatingelf
Advantages: Huge range of options, a lot of in-game freedom
Disadvantages: very hard to learn, small nations are very weak
...In my opinion, this game is simply the best large scale strategy game on the market at the moment. High praise, yes, but with good reason.
This game gives you the opportunity to play as any world nation which was a nation in 1936. From Afghanistan to the USA, each nation has its own characteristics such as its own Industrial Capacity, which dictates how much can be built at any one time by a country, or its infrastructure, which dictates how fast troops can move through an area.
This brings me on to the next excellent point of the gams, combat. This happens on land, sea and at air and occurs when two countries who are at war, possible through the comprehensive diplomacy interface, occupy the same area as another on the world map. Combat is affected by the number of troops on each side, their type, how well equipped they are, who leads...

Technex's review of the Bionaire BAP242 Air Pu
Review of Bionaire BAP242 AIR Purifier WITH Ioniser by
Technex
Advantages: Nice fresh air, removes all bad things in air. Strong design.
Disadvantages: Noise. White colour scheme?
...slider bar. These adjust the noise respectively. I wouldn't suggest this though if your planning to use it for night time or a quiet place as this is reasonably noisey. If you can sleep with a gentle humming then this is good for you I can sleep myself okay but it's not the same for everyone! Baring in mind it's right next to me pretty much...
I wouldn't use the ioniser wikipedia has said bad things about all of them they can release bad gasses into the air which can cause lung damage. Not to worry though all ionisers have this problem. Just don't turn it on!
The color is white and blue sections. It's nicely shaped but doesn't quite blend into the modern black tech.
Thumbs up for me even though my next purchase will be quieter....

Want an underwater camera?
Review of Canon PowerShot A70 by
muddlefuddle
Advantages: Ease of use
Disadvantages: None
...This was the second Canon camera I have owned, the first being the A60. I picked up the A60 with the underwater housing after struggling to master a 35mm underwater camera. It paid for itself very quickly in the sense there were no developing costs involved. The A60 done the job well but I wanted a little more zoom and whatever so I started looking again.
The A70 has the same button layout and is the identical size therefore fits the same underwater housing, this alone saved me about £150.00 on buying a new housing.
I had the A70 for about two years and took thousands of photos both in air and under water. It has been compared to cameras of much higher value and with greater megapixals and came out on top for picture quality.
Ease of use is paramount to me - I know very little about the tech. side of photography - using the Auto...

A viper for the price of an EarthWorm
Review of A4Tech X7 Gaming Mouse X-718 - mouse by
tartupets
Advantages: Extreme grip and ease of use
Disadvantages: some time to get used to it.
...A4Tech is know for their budget performance gadgetry. Some products can surprise you and others can blow your mind.
This mouse is apart of the "others"
I must mention, that I own the BF of this mouse. Its basically the same, but has different "skin".
Now, of the mouse itself. As it is a gamer mouse, it has a wire. And that wire is thin, so watch out for yanking it.
But the mouse works. And amazingly well.
Just take it out of the box and hook it up to your computer. It will work almost instantly. And no drivers are required.
If you wish to customize your mouse, eg make it more sensitive, give other commands for the buttons, then the small CD, that comes with it provides many features. The main feature is the driver. Called A4Tech Smart-X7 7.80, it provides the functions mentioned above. The others are manuals, troubleshooters...

Good product, shame about the support
Review of Yamaha 4216 by
twonames
Advantages: A reasonably good product
Disadvantages: Pathetic support - don't buy from them
...I had managed to use this internal SCSI drive happily for 18 months and then things started to go wrong. Eventually, I solved the problem without any help from Yamaha. THE SOLUTION IS DETAILED BELOW.
A burn of the CD would complete reporting success but the CD was un-readable by anything. I reverted to earlier versions of the CD recorder software - it wasn't that. I updated the firmware for the drive - that made no difference. The Yamaha web site was well hidden and ultimately no help. Tech support in the USA took 2 weeks to answer my email and when they did, it was just to give me a UK phone number for the "service" department. I called them and they said that they didn't support CDR any more and I should call Belgium on a toll free number. I called this number and was unable to connect so I called the UK number again "Oh yeah...

A forest in my Car!
Review of Magic Tree Tree Car Air Freshener by
ady_ankle
Advantages: smells god, lasts long
Disadvantages: none
...it out of its wrapper a bit further.
Its easily hung from my indicator arm and goes unnoticed swinging about. I did try it hanging from the interior mirror but founf it only blocked my view more than othe airfresheners i have had before. this is mainly as you keep it in the wrapper so it seems quiet big.
the smell of alpine fresh is really quite fresh and woody. im not too sure how to describe it apart from manly frshness.
i would tell anyone to use these car airfresheners because they work really well. They make me car smell great and last forever! they are cheap really compared to some of the other more hi-tech air fresheners but works equally as well....

Want to be a bombhead?
Review of Royal Air Force by
raflad1982
Advantages: Pay, education, friends, job variety, travel, esprit de corps
Disadvantages: Sometimes unsociable hours, going to war zones, discipline
...The Royal Air Force was formed on April 1st 1918, an amalgamation of both the Royal Flying Corps (RFC) and the Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS).
During its short history, the RAF has been involved in every war the country has ever fought in, and has played a decisive part, most notably in the Battle of Britain (1940) and the Allied bombing offensive on Germany (1941-1945).
Todays RAF is very different to the war time RAF. Since the demise of the Communist bloc, the UK armed forces have been faced with severe budgetary pressures, the RAFs current strength stands at just over 50,000 with further reduction in manpower planned.
Despite this, I would reccomend the RAF to just about anybody, especially those in the 16 - 24 age bracket (although you can join ground trades right up to the age of 29).
For me, there was only ever one trade I...
