...Currently I am a student so I am more than comfortable with taking exams, in the past four years I've taken, literally 40 exams for one thing and another, but the most nerve wracking by far was my theory test. I found the idea of a CD to teach me everything I needed to know I found really appealing, whats more it only cost me £10 from Woolworth's so I hadn't got a lot to loose, and I was not disappointed at all, I passed my theory first time with 100% on the theory and 84% on the Hazard Perception. The biggest advantage that the CD ROM had was it was exactly like the actual test even down to things like the font and text colours, and when I saw the real thing it did look really familiar, however in replicating the real test it did make it seem quite cold and uninviting. ...This is the review for the 2003-2004 edition of Driving Test Success which includes two CDRom's 1 for Theory Test and the 2nd for the Hazard Perception exam. I began learning to drive a day after my 17th birthday which was on October 25th and after my first lesson I felt really comfortable driving, on the way back my instructor asked me whether I thought about my theory test. I didn't know when it was a good time to take the theory test but he assured me I could do it anytime I wanted to. After a few more lessons I decided to book the theory test for £20.50 on the official DSA website but I received a really unforgiving time of 8.30 in the morning on a Tuesday. ...This is a really good practice cd rom. You can do mock theory tests and mock hazzard perception tests plus it has all the theory eg highway code etc that you need. The clever thing with this cd rom is that it works out what areas you are weak on and can give you more of those specific questions. Plus it does various graphs of how youre doing over time and what you need to work on. An excellent cd rom which gives lots of tips and has lots of videos to help you along the way. Very easy to use and you can even download podcasts to your mp3 player to learn as you go. Highly recommneded and a bagain as well.... Read review

...Before I took my driving theory test, I was quite apprehencive, as many of my friends had previously complained that it was quite difficult. I expressed my concern to my driving instructor, and her reccomendation was that I purchased some software for the PC to help me get through it. My initial reaction was that this kind of software was just another way of getting money out of those begining to learn to drive, but I soon discovered that this was the wrong way to be thinking. ...Ive just turned 17 and the first thing on my mind, is driving as with most 17 year old. I want to get on the road and be a taxi service for all my friends. Before you can take your practical test you have to undergo a theory test showing that you have a basic knowledge of the roads. My dad bought this CD-ROM for me before my birthday so that i could start practicing before i was actually 17, it cost £9.99 from Tesco. I found it hard to start with as somethings on the CD i had never knew before but after time and alot of practice i was a master. Three weeks after my 17th birthday i took my theory test and passed. I got 34 for the theory and 61 for the hazard perception. I was so happy, now i could start the practical and be on the road in no time. ...I have just bought the 2002/2003 edition of Focus – “Driving Test Success Theory” which also includes the new Hazard Perception test, on CD Rom, and my initial opinion is very good. The system requirements to run the cd-roms are as follows:- Operating system – Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP CPU type and speed – Pentium II 300 or equivalent. Hard Drive Space – 100MB Memory – 32MB (Recommend 64MB) Graphics – 4MB DirectX 8 compatible graphics card CD Rom Speed – 4x or faster. Installation There are two disks to install. The first is the theory test. The disk automatically starts up when inserted into the CD-Rom drive and installation is very quick and simple. ...I am 21 years old and still do not have my driving license. I did learn when I was 17/18 and took my theory test, but then I decided to spend the last of my money on a month long holiday with my friends, and then I went off to University so driving just kind of came to a halt. Finally, I have my own car (thank you to my Parents) and so I am learning again, taking my practial test next month. Now before I could book my practial I had to retake my theory as the test certificate runs out after two years and more than two years had passed since the first time I took it. So I booked my theory test and took it last month. Luckily I passed only this time it was much harder. Advantages: Real DSA theory test questions
Disadvantages: Quite boring and time consuming

...I bought this shortly after I started learning to drive. I also bought the Hazard Perceoption disc, and the Practical disc, as they came in a box together as a set. I think it was about £30 from WH Smith. This Theory disc was the most useful of the three. As well as theory questions, it had plenty of hazard perception clips, including 10 that are official DSA sample clips, so it wasn't really neccessary to have a separate disc just for hazard perception. The practical disc was the least useful. I used it once or twice but gave up on it pretty quickly, it doesn't help you with actual driving in real life at all. If I had known this before I would have saved some money and just bought this Theory Test disc on its own, as it is really good and I found it really helpful.
