Lost filling, no problem!
Review of Dentanurse First Aid Kit for Teeth by
simon2525
Advantages: It does exactly what it says it will...
Disadvantages: Need one for each person as you can't share
...I bought this kit from the Dentanurse website as they do free p&p and my (small) local Boots didn't stock it - it's priced at £10.99. The Kit comes with dental mirror, special cement, mixing tray, a special tool to apply and a sterile needle. It was packed in the suitcase and came in very handy when on holiday a particularly chewy sweet managed to wrench out a filling that had previously withstood worse! The pain was initally bad, as well as bits of food, etc, getting into the cavity. Ugh! Back at the hotel and the kit was opened. The instruction ARE good - very clear and in several languages if you need that! Within a few minutes I had packed out the gap with the special paste. This stopped the nerve from screaming at every bit of hot and cold and prevented food debris getting in. Back in Blighty my dentist had no trouble removing...

Ideal for the little jobs
Review of Black & Decker Quattro Kit 4 in 1 by
little.devil
Advantages: Easy storage, does most jobs, 4 for the price of 1
Disadvantages: Struggles with tough jobs
...Since the departure of my husband and his DIY tools my family became fed up with my pleas to borrow tools for odd jobs. I have always been into DIY so putting up shelves, installing phone lines, sanding paint work and building cabinets is something I enjoy.
Much to the amusement of my friends I was given a Black & Decker Quattro for christmas last year. All 4 tools (Drill, Screw Driver, Sander and Jigsaw) fit neatly in a case with a compartment for accessories. The batteries charge quickly and over all the weight of the drill is very light. The different heads are easy to change and the drill is chuck less so it is simple and effective
It is an excellent piece of kit for odd jobs around the house, as I suggested above but it is not man enough for drilling masonary for example. Argos are selling it for £79.99 and in my opinion...

Procare CD/DVD repair kit
Review of Procare CD/DVD Repair by
lostsworld
Advantages: Cheaper than leading brands and works better, cheaper replacement parts
Disadvantages: don't work well on 8cm cd's
...Having reviewed the No 1 in the world cd repair tool and found out it was a flop and waste of money, I have tried a few other techniques. This review is on the Procare CD/DVD repair kit found at Maplin and possibly other stores.
~ The kit ~
You get the cd repair too itself which is motorised, you get the adapter, cd sanding discs, cd buffing discs and cleaning fluid. It comes in a nice flat box that is easy to store after use.
~ How it works ~
This is slightly different to the worlds No1 cd repair tool in that it appears to look like a cd walkman, you put the sanding discs in first and then put the scratched cd in with label facing up. Close the lid, plug power in and the press the on button.
The tool will start sanding the disc to remove the scratch and will be done in three minutes, once finished take a look at cd...

Splosh your dosh on this Bosch!
Review of Bosch IXO Cordless screwdriver 3.6v with Lithium ion technology by
fightgear
Advantages: small, powerful, comfortable, reliable, led lights, led indicators
Disadvantages: not as many bits as I'd have liked also would have liked a lock function
...This little tool is one of the best buys i have made for my tool kit. I bought it about a year ago and it gets more use than maybe any other tool.
It comes in a great container which is (unlike so many others) is so neat and tidy that it is still being used today rather than just chucking the device and its charger in my tool kit. The container comes in three parts, metal top and bottom and a plastic base which acts as the charger and holder for spare bits. The driver just sits in the cradle and charges while its plugged in.
Charging will usually take a couple of hours or maybe a little longer if allowed to run flat.
For a small driver it has remarkable torque. It's not the fastest device on the block but it does the job admirably. Plus, it is extremely comfortable to hold. The gun type grip means you can hold it comfortably at most...

Gerber MP600 multitool will fix it for you and you
Review of Gerber Tool by
skrg28
Advantages: Strong, Safe tool, Versatility
Disadvantages: None
...to connect any standard jigsaw blade. Mine came with a sort of tile saw, but I have a spare Piranha metal and wood blade as a spare.
12. Crosshead Screwdriver
Good sized head again made of proper steel. As yet I haven't managed to round it off and it remains as good as new.
13. Tool Kit Included
The tool kit comes separate in the case as an extra. You get an attachment tool that fits on to the head of the crosshead tool. From here there are three different sized cross heads and two additional flat head bits to attach. These are of a standard size so you can change them for any more useful spares you may have.
Each side of the tool handle has a locking mechanism allowing you to lock each blade / tool securely without risk of it folding back on your fingers.
Also included is a strong Fibre case to store the knife and toolkit. On the back...

Delta 66 Review
Review of M-Audio Delta 66 by
djdavep2007
Advantages: Easy install, Reliable, Sound Quality & Product Support
Disadvantages: none
...This is one hell of a reliable piece of kit. I\'ve owned this for 5 years now and it has never faltered! The sound quality and performance are excellent. providing up to 96khz and 24bit recording rates, for a real professional sound. The driver support M-Audio give is top notch, releasing updates all the time to ever more improve the performance of the product. (not that you every really notice that you need it!). What is also a big bonus is that M-Audio have taken over Digidesign who make Pro Tools. This means the latest versions of Pro Tools are no compatible with M-Audio Hardware! Overall This is a brilliant sound card for the home studio, providing excellent value for money for a high end sound quality!...

Review for Dyson DC07 Tool Kit Model
Review of Dyson DC07 Toolkit by
starbabe30586
Advantages: Extensive tools, strong suction, easy to use
Disadvantages: n/a
...This is my first Dyson and I love it. It has very strong suction and leaves my carpets nearly new every time i use it. It came with 5 year guarantee and lots of tools/brushes to use on different surfaces such as a soft bristled brush and hard bristled brush and one for the stairs. Its fairly lightweight and easy to use and looks great to. I love the fact its bagless as well which is much easier. Its easy to empty and easy to assemble when you first get it. It has a long lead which is useful especially when doing the stairs. You can see all the dirt it has picked up which i think is quite satisfying.
I would never buy anything else now other than a Dyson, they are the |
