High Definition Awesomeness!
Review of Microsoft Xbox 360 Component HD AV Cable Game console link cable by
hackersupr
Advantages: Great picture, supports upto 1080p, supports surround sound.
Disadvantages: May not be the best cable for your TV
...display mode to use is 720p as the image is more fluid and things appear to be smoother when there is alot of fast paced action on the screen. If however you are playing a slower paced game such as Tiger Woods, I find its best to switch to 1080i as the image is more detailed. I haven't been able to test the 1080p mode as my TV doesn't support it but I imagine it works fine giving you the detail of 1080i with the fluidity of 720p. Over composite the picture isn't so good, it loses all its fidelity but if your purchasing this cable you probably are planning to use it on an HD set.
Price:
This cable should set you back around £20 and sells at all good video game stores such as Game and Gamestation. You may be able to find a better deal at online retailers such as Amazon.co.uk and Play.com. There are cheaper alternatives made by third party...

laptop on a TV screen
Review of Belkin PRO Series VGA cable - 2 m by
techno_man_37
Advantages: watch movies on your tv from your laptop
Disadvantages: none
....
This cable is a belkin one, which is a company who have been making computer accessories and wireless devices for a number of years and are very well known for it. They are also well know for their good quality and reliable cables and make so many different types there one for whatever you need to do really.
Because this is a VGA cable one end goes in your PC or laptop and the other in the back of your TV. It really a s simple as that. All laptops and pcs being made now have this capability to plug this cable into them and the port is usually a blue one which is longer but a little thinner than a USB port. Some really older pcs might not have the port however anything newer than 5 years should definitely have it.
There are 2 screws on each of the ends which are there to screw into your pc or laptop and then your TV as well...

Deep & Crisp & Even - No not a pizza - a TV!
Review of Toshiba 28Z07B by
karenlearmonth
Advantages: Crisp & Clear wherever sat, Good Functionality, Number of Scarts
Disadvantages: Rather on the deep side if in a small room
..., fairly well ergonomically designed. Not much more to say about the remote, nothing spectacular but functional and easy all the same. (If you have either/and a Toshiba Vid/DVD you can control these with this remote to)
Range of Features:
Very good range of features, very customisable throught the menu for sound/visual setup. Nice amount of scarts too which I was pleased with as I have PS2/DVD/Video/Cable TV.
Value for Money:
Difficult to comment on now, but I still think it is a very good TV even though my personal one is 18 months old now. At the time I think I may have paid a little over the odds for it, but I think at the prices they are now they are competitive even compared to some of the new stuff due to the quality and range of features.
Ease of Installation & Instructions:
No problems whatsoever getting up and running. Stand was easy...

The Best A Man Can Get...
Review of Panasonic TX-15LT 2F by
ReviewDude
Advantages: S-video Port, Audio Port, Input, Output, Widescreen
Disadvantages: None
...at the touch of a button. Change the colour, screen size (16:9) and turn the sound up and down all with this great menu. There's a button on the TV or if you don't want to get up you can always use the remote control.
- The Remote -
The remote control is the same colour as the TV, silver, and includes all the basic buttons such as volume control and different TV channel numbers (0-9) Nothing really special about it. It takes two AAA batteries which are included with the TV.
- Ports -
This is the second best thing about the TV. If your like me and you download movies, or TV shows and you want to watch them on a bigger screen then your monitor then just use the S-Video port to do so. You can plugin a S-video and Audio cable from any source including PC, Camera, DVD player.
- Size / Weight -
The TV might have a large screen but the back isn...

Wii component cable- Well worth the money
Review of Nintendo Wii Component Video Cable by
Mattletcher
Advantages: sharper/brighter picture, opens up more ports on TV, saves hassle.
Disadvantages: quite expensive for a simple console improvement
...The Nintendo Wii component video cable really is a sound investment if you are the owner of an HD/ LCD TV, and obviously a nintendo Wii.
Before i bought it, i had trouble with the picture quality and contrast on many of the games. Games such as Wii Sports were fine, but more of the action/adventure games such as Zelda or Splinter Cell give a very dark picture which can sometimes be hard to make out what was happening. The only way i could combat this problem was to adjust the contrast on my television which did help, but was alot of hassle.
With the component cable, the picture is not only much brighter, but much sharper and defined. It gets rid of the hassle of having to turn the contrast back down after playing on the Wii and improves the overall gaming experiance. Another bonus is that on your HD TV, this cable plugs...

Metal Coloured Life Enhancer
Review of Hitachi DV-PF 3 E by
imogen49
Advantages: Simple to install and use
Disadvantages: small niggles
...and straightforward, even for us. The supplied accessories are: a remote control plus two AA batteries and an aerial cable. Initially we attached the wires to the television and the plug, and then we retuned the television video channel. (We didn't use a scart because our television is so old this hadn't been invented when it was made!) It was then straightforward to tune in the television channels. Later we transferred this player to the living room and placed it under our even older television without any transfer incidents at all.
The playing of videos and DVDs could not be simpler. For videos, you just push it in gently and pre-recorded ones start to play immediately. Others will play on instruction from either the machine itself or the remote control. The symbols are the same on both, which is helpful for us. For DVDs, you need to press the eject...

A Good TV For A Good Price
Review of Philips 32PFL5522D by
Surj1
Advantages: Affordable, Good Variety of Connections, Simple to Set-Up
Disadvantages: Ineffective Surround Sound Mode
...The Philips 32PFL5522D is a LCD 32" HD ready TV. This TV is not one of Philips top of the range TV's from there new line. Saying that it does have some cool features, pixel plus being one of them and 2 HDMIs (for HD ready devices). You dont get the new Philips pixel perfect HD E-Processing or the new back lighting system which is introduced in the top range in this line. Then again the TV does only cost around £400-£450.
Philips though have produced a good looking TV, which sits on a black glass table top swivel stand. It has a glossy all black face with silver column and buttons to give it that extra touch.
The TV has speakers which are descreetly tucked in under the screen and the silver comumn has a neat built in loop to keep the cables and wires well hidden from view. This gives you an end result of a compact and organised TV...

THE BEST OF THEM ALL!!
Review of Apple iPod 80 GB White by
sdam99
Advantages: small, light weight, compact, has everything you want, mp3/mp4
Disadvantages: battery sometimes goes, easy to scratch
...this new innovation from apple to create an 80GB i pod which has the capability of playing 20,000 songs and 100 hours of video playback. It can also hold 25,000 pictures, and you can browse movies on the iTunes Store, download the ones you want then sync it to your iPod. Same goes for TV episodes, new iPod games and other downloads. The ipod video is slimmer than the original ipod, measuring less than half an inch thick which means it is 45 percent slimmer. There is a larger battery which supposedly promises five more hours of playback when compared to original ipod. That means up to 20 hours of total audio play time before it runs out.
The new ipod video has a larger 2.5-inch QVGA color screen meaning watching videos of it is never hard to see.
The ipod video can be made even better if you buy two of my favorite accessories. The first...

Disadvantages: Perhaps not as stylish as some other players, bundled earphones not great

Great new revision of the Nano range
Review of Apple iPod Nano video 4GB Third Generation by
Goldspeaker
Advantages: Stunningly attractive, video playback, well-featured
Disadvantages: Shiny back prone to scratches, device may be too thin for some
...I received the new iPod Nano (3rd generation) as a gift and so can't really comment on cost. For those of you not "in the know", this is the latest (and cheapest) incarnation of Apple's iPod Nano range with one key new feature: video. This is the first Nano to be able to play video and, in my humble opinion, it does it very well. Although the screen is of good size (2 inches diagonally) for watching the occasional music video or video podcast, it will by no means replace your TV or PC monitor so do not expect it to.
The interface, new to the latest range of iPods, is aesthetically pleasing and very smooth. It includes Cover Flow, Apple's album art browsing experience made familiar with iTunes, and a nice photo-browsing interface. (I personally put about 15 of my favourite photos on it so I can show friends and family informally.)
The one...
