Reviews of umbro
If you know your history?
Review of Umbro Everton Football Shirt Home by
kingbill
Advantages: comfortable, great design
Disadvantages: will get new one next year.
...Nice shirt and a great improvement on th 05/06 shirt. This shirt is so comfortable and looks pretty pluck proof. Made from polyester it will never need ironing and will usually dry in less than an hour.
COLLAR
White ring collar and enough give to pull over your head without pulling your hair out. Also has the classic 70`s style umbro diamonds running from collar to sleeve. Retro!
BADGE & UMBRO LOGO
Ironed on. The badge looks as if it will stay put and is a nice 2d badge with the usual yellow outline to make it stand out from the royal blue. The umbro logo however is very thin and I don`t fancy the chances of it lasting on the shirt much longer than the 12 months the shirt will be played in!
SPONSOR LOGO
Chang is the brand (Thai Beer) . Ironed on and is there to stay. A bright white and you won`t get any edges peeling...

The F50 Boot
Review of Adidas F50 by
whitby_qpr
Advantages: Stylish
Disadvantages: Not the best material for football
...I never normally buy Adidas football boots although I thought I would give the F50's a go. Looking at them I thought they were some of the most sytlish boots that i've ever seen.
Having worn these boots on several occasions I have realised that they are not really different than any Adidas or nike boot as I do find these brands very similar in trying to create a stylish affect instead of a practical one. I have also come decision that I prefer either Puma or Umbro as I prefer the more lether feel.
Also the F50's do like to absorb water when it starts to rain as I found out on several occasions when you sudenly realise that you have bricks on your feet.
I therefore have come to the decision that the F50 football is not the most practical ever designed and feel as i have said already that Puma and Umbro are a little better....

Proper Fans Wear This
Review of Umbro England Away Football Shirt by
sifair
Advantages: Nice Looking, Big England Badge
Disadvantages: Dont Know
...shirt from 1966 probably to try and get the team to be inspired and play better. (As we know England play badly and regularly struggle against rubbish teams and always lose on bloody penalties). The shirt is made by Umbro and may put 'cool' people off who like wearing the top makes. Anyway the badge has been made bigger than on previous shirts so it really stands out that your an England fan. The Umbro badge is in the top left corner as you look at it. There is little bits of white near the neck area and overall I think it's quite a nice looking shirt.
Comfort
------------
The shirts are actually very comfortable apart from the bit where the badge is. The badge sits right on top of the nipple area and it gets quite itchy sometimes but this is probably because of what the badge is made of. Overall the shirt is comfortable and it keeps you...

Sport & Soccer
Review of Sport Soccer (Shop) by
charkai
Advantages: cheap, brand named sportswear
Disadvantages: usually very busy & crowded
...Sport & Soccer is a great shop if you want to buy branded sportswear at a reasonable price.
They sell a huge variety of tops, jumpers, tracksuit bottoms, trainers, footballs, bags, golf equipment, roller blades, hats, ski boots, and pretty much any other kind of sportswear in between.
All of their goods are BRAND NEW and the latest (as in current style/current football strips/England shirts/trainers). They seem to buy in bulk, so they can offer very competitive prices, and as such, their prices are significantly less than in other sports shops such as JJB.
Quite a large part of their stock consists of Donnay, or Umbro. And it is these makes that you can pick up really cheaply. T-Shirts for under £10 for men and women, and this range is especially good for young kids, as they are less style-conscious! I recently picked up a Umbro T...

Review of Umbro England Home Football Shirt by
gurji123
Advantages: good quality, soft fabric, personalise easily
Disadvantages: pricey
...it with from any major retailer and thus adding the realism to your loyal support. There are some changes from the old one with the shirt having two red striped down the collar and the umbro sign is gold.
This is a great footie shirt and even better to support England through Euro '08. The only problem is it is a little pricey but for hardcore fans this may be easy to get over. Well worth a buy. C'mon England!...

Shopping for sportwear and accessories
Review of Sports Soccer (Shop) by
tabyorky
Advantages: cheap, branded items, good quality
Disadvantages: long queue's, not much space to move
...I've been in many sports shops and found there clothing and footwear to be quite expensive. Then i came across sports soccer and found it was really cheap compared to other sports shops.
At sports soccer they sell sports wear obviously for men, women and children. Here are some of the things that they sell there:-
trainers
jackets
sweaters
t-shirts
socks
footballs
sport equipment like tennis rackets etc
and mnay more items
The shop is fairly big, but all there clothing is really close to each other, so there is not much space to move around really.
They sell brand names like reebok, adidas, nike and mnay more. All there items are of good quality for the price you pay.
There is a wide choice of items to choose from at reasonable prices. The last time i was there i bought a t-shirt (umbro) for my husband for only £5 and it was of good...

Shows That Simple Need Not Be Plain!
Review of Adidas Chelsea Away Football Shirt by
awaykitcom
Advantages: Distinct colour, good styling, comfortable, good build quality.
Disadvantages: Colour is not to everyones taste. Plain back if it's not got a name and number.
...The 05/06 season was the last one that Chelsea had Umbro shirts, before switiching to Adidas. This, the last away shirt they designed, could have been an opportunity to go wild and create something spectacularly good, bad or indeed ugly. Instead, Umbro restrained themsleves and produced a very simple shirt that proves plain doesn't have to be dull.
The basics are:-
Baby blue in colour with a very dark blue trim.
Embroidered Umbro log on the right of the chest.
Cloth Chelsea club badge on the left of the chest.
Printed Samsung Mobile sponsor across the middle.
Item code, for the short sleeve version, is 735718JAP.
Manufactured in the Umbro X-Static material.
Official product hologram near the lower left seam.
Personally, I think this is a great shirt although the baby blue colour won't be to everyone's tastes. I think it's a gret...

The End Of A Century.
Review of Adidas Chelsea Home Football Shirt by
awaykitcom
Advantages: Well made, good looks, centenary embroidery.
Disadvantages: Not for fans of something different.
...This review is similar to the 05/06 Chelsea away shirt review I did as they have many features in common. Hope you find it helpful.
The 05/06 season was the last one that Chelsea had Umbro shirts, before switiching to Adidas. This, the last home shirt they designed is also their centenary shirt.
The basics are:-
Traditional royal blue in colour with gold trim.
Embroidered Umbro log on the right of the chest.
Cloth Chelsea club badge on the left of the chest.
Centenary text embroidered around the badge.
Printed Samsung Mobile sponsor across the middle.
Manufactured in the Umbro X-Static material.
Official product hologram near the lower left seam.
Umbro provide Chelsea with a very classic shirt for their centenary. Utilising the traditional blue, the shirt is brought alive with some gold coloured trim and chest embroidery...

Much more than a load of Balls
Review of mandmsports.com by
Lizard_Lover
Advantages: Bargains galore on brand named clothing
Disadvantages: Stock can sell out quickly
...I first discovered M and M Sports some years ago, when my eldest son started playing football regularly for a team. He needed some football boots and my friend advised me to pay the site a visit, as she had ordered items from it for her children and her husband.
M and M specialise in sports and leisure clothing, all at vastly discounted prices. As well as big names like Reebok, Adidas, Umbro and Nike, the site also specialise in Diadora and M&M own brand named clothing.
The home page displays a number of items currently for sale from the site, in picture form, and also depicts the sizes available, the price from the site, and the manufacturers recommended price, together with the savings made. Each item has an information button, which, when pressed, will give you details of the product, eg for trainers, the material...

Review of Manchester United by
dolphin_style
Advantages: Comfy
Disadvantages: Pricey
...job. However without getting into the ethics and all that, I would prefer to have a shirt made by British workers, on a decent wage.
++ Appearance ++
I personally like the look of the shirt. A nice deep red colour, perfect for wiping a bloody nose on. The predominantly yellow logo provides a nice support to the red colour scheme. Also the “Vodafone” sponsor banner doesn’t look a million miles out of place.
Price
++ Umbro ++
For me the Umbro “L” (Large) size fits like a glove. Hugging in the write places. It feels just as perfect whilst playing a game of footy, as it does walking down the street on match day.
++ Useful Info ++
Most of the sports shop o the shirt at the RRP of £39.99. However looking around I your local shops may unveil a better deal. If you want to order of the net I recommend...
