...Arguably the most important component inside your PC is its power supply, the power supply unit (PSU) provides the power to every other component inside your computer ie: Motherboard, hard drive, processor, graphics card etc etc... and all these components require a powerful and extremely stable PSU in order to operate as intended. 14 months ago i built my current PC and opted to use the Q-tec 550 watt dual fan gold as its power supply unit, most modern day PC power supplies average around 350 watt and they are predominantly fine for most PC's but as you add extra components to your PC like extra hard drives, or a faster processor or faster graphics card then you may get close to reaching the limit of your particular power supply which can result in either the PSU not functioning properly (causing serious system instability) or in some... ...Upon upgrading my computer to an athlon MP system, i thought it would be a good idea to change my power supply for something a bit more powerful. When i looked up the specifications for this power supply at antec`s website, there was nothing i could fault. Looking into it further, i found that i would need a 24pin to 20pin adapter to use this on my motherboard. The handy thing is that although this isnt an ATX2.0 power supply, the 24pin pinout for the EPS12v ATX connector is 100% identical to the ATX2.0 24pin pinout. Another reason why i decided on this powersupply (so when i upgrade to dual opterons - this powersupply will be ample and will already provide the correct connectors). ...When I upgraded to a 64 bit AMD Athlon, I upgraded a few other bits and pieces too. A new graphics card, new hard drive, and new CD-Rom drive, along with the new CPU, my old power supply just wasn't capable. I wanted a strong supply, at a budget price, and Q-Tec seemed to fit the bill quite nicely, at the price I was dubious but the PSU has performed admirably now for well over a year. The PSU is cooled by three fans, 2 x 80mm, and 1 x 120 mm, which you would expect to be noisy, but this wasn't the case. The quoted noise level of 29 dB seems nothing compared to another fan within my case. These fans are temperature controlled, so when the PSU is doing very little, there is little noise coming from the fans. The package contents are, the PSU, and not a lot else. ...My boyfriend bought this car in June 2006 (it was 1 year old at this point). He pays almost £900 for insurance with Arnold Clark (whom he bought it from - he was aged 22 at the time). That's fully comp, and includes business class 1 terms, so for his first car and own insurance policy (no other drivers), I think it's not too bad (insurance group 6). Elephant.co.uk have offered him a quote of almost £650 with 1 years no claims. Again, not too bad. I drive the car on occasion. It's maybe a bit slow off the mark (it can feel as though the gear grinds between 1st and 2nd), however, other than that it goes through the gears with ease. ...I had the pleasure of purchasing a brand new 2004 model Honda Civic Type R in April this year(2004) I don't think I've stopped grinning yet. :-) GOOD The power, performance, and handling of this car more than matches the wonderful reviews this car has received by the UK's motoring press. The seats are wonderfully comfortable, and combined with the hard sports suspension are really needed. The controls are all in easy reach, which is again helpful at high speed, especially the interestingly placed gearbox control. Once you get used to it, you will love it and find it hard to leave it alone. Drop a couple of gears and hear the 200PS iV-TEC roar! ...My mum and dad own this car but I have driven this fabulous car many times and always beam a smile when i am out of the driving seat. With the 2 Litre V-TEC engine it is all about the rev band of around 5000-9000RPM! Sit on a straight bit of road at around 40MPH in 2nd gear and put your foot down and you will be into next year in a second. The acceleration this car has is phenominal! I have been in a Mitsi Evo 6 and 8 and I can tell you there is not much difference, especially with the turbo lag in the Evo! This car is truely intense. The handling is outstandng
