...Worms This game was a massive hit on the PC platform, with geeks and Goths alike. When I first heard it was to be introduced on the Playstation I was excited, if not a little unsure. It is difficult to manoeuvre the worms with the chunky pad, as mouse control is much better. It is a blast fest, which can generate new terrain for you to kill your mates on. All in all it is a pretty good game, but if you own a PC then buy it for that as the game play far excels the Playstation version.... Read review

...Released on the PC in `95, Worms was a breath of fresh air that we had come to expect from Team 17. The game is unusual in that it was turn based which at the time appeared to be going out in favour of real time games such as Command and Conquer. It is similar to a modern day tanks game. The weapons of mass destruction are instead worms and can be manouvred using the mouse and cursors. A weapon of choice is selected and the player must contend with wind factor to hit one of an opponents 4 worm team. What makes the game all the harder is that not only are weapons available but so are tools that can be used to move the worms around the screen and to dig into the ground for protection. ...Worms Reinforcements was the first Worms game I purchased and I've got to say, that however sad it may have looked, however stupid it may have seemed (to some people) - I loved it! This is worms - - You have a team of worms, which can be fully customised - If you go up against the computer, the number of worms you are against will vary. - If you are against another human they will also have four customisable worms. - The point - kill all of the other team of worms before they kill all of your worms. Use any means necessary - handguns, mini guns, grenades, explosive sheep, fireballs and the ancient "prod" are all lethal weapons in this game. Lets put it like this - KILL OR BE KILLED! ...Having enjoyed every worms game up until now, i was very disappointed to find W.A so slow and boring. In worms games before, it was fast, furious, with alo of tension. I found WA very boring when the computer has to think what to do, with a little bubble at the top. This is very irritating, and makes Worms too boring to put up with. On the other hand, the training levels are fun, and the 4 plyer multi player is a laugjh, with 10 beers down your neck! An ok game that spoiled its previous reputation!... Read review

...Worms Armageddon is brilliant and so funny. You are in control of an elite squad of armed worms which you must use to annialate the enemy. You can play against the computer, against lots of your friends or against someone over the net. The game is so easy to learn but it's not a doddle to kill the little blighters. The worms have hit points which you reduce with bazookas, dynamite, napalm, baseball bats, shotguns, sheep or even a little old woman. It is not gory and the worms can have any accent and nationality that you decide. We got our copy of Worms Armageddon from Qxl.com for £1 (we just registered). Definately worth the dosh.... ...What an incredible game - where else can you use Sheep, Old Grannies, Banana Bombs, and Homing Pigeons to destroy little worms? It's a very simple game idea - you have a team of worms that sit on a randomly generated map- and try and kill the other team of worms - much like that really early game where 2 gorrillas stood on top of buildings and lobbed banana bombs at each other. There are loads of options and missions to try and spice up the one-player game - but it doesn't really matter - it 's when there's a couple /few of you, blowing the hell out of each other's worms (which you can name-for that personal touch) that the game comes into it's own. ...After seeing the series of worms games on the pc, i was utterly jealous. The first worms on the playstation was awfull in my oppinion and i was jealous of the pc's cartoony style worms. After seeing that the new worms game had dumped the fully 3d graphics, and gone for the much funnier cartoony graphics i quickly purchased the game. The one player missions have a steep difficulty level, but you will persist because you will be compelled to discover new and more devestating weapons. But the thing that really keeps the game alive is the multyplayer option. With a turn based system you only need one controle pad which is an added bonus. The fun never ends with a huge arsenal of weapons and with the option of naming a new team of worms.... Read review

Kamikaze worm Napalm Strike Worms armageddon can be played single player or multiplayer with the option of playing over a LAN network which is ace. The one-player mode includes a new Deathmatch style where the difficulty of winning increases with every round. One major gripe for me is that the AI of the computer worms is so poor it beggers belief. Often, if you show a bit of patience, it will not be too long before the computer-controlled worms start blowing themselves up. Ultimately then, this game is ideally played with many human-controlled teams so if you are going to play- grab as many mates as you can! ...Worms is a good pc game to play but. It is a very unique game and the worms are very cute especially what they say. The way that they die is quite funny and after a while you do tend to feel sorry for them when they die. It does not have very good graphics and sound but the scenery is makes up for the graphics and sound. You can create your own teams or play with the default ones either against the computer or against other players. Overall this is a good game to play as a mess-about... Read review
