...What an incredible game - where else can you use Sheep, Old Grannies, Banana Bombs, and Homing Pigeons to destroy little worms? It's a very simple game idea - you have a team of worms that sit on a randomly generated map- and try and kill the other team of worms - much like that really early game where 2 gorrillas stood on top of buildings and lobbed banana bombs at each other. There are loads of options and missions to try and spice up the one-player game - but it doesn't really matter - it 's when there's a couple /few of you, blowing the hell out of each other's worms (which you can name-for that personal touch) that the game comes into it's own. ...Worms armageddon on the PSXis the latest addition in team 17’s highly successful and highly enjoyable worms series. It is exactlly the same as all the other worms games in terms of graphics, allthough the DC does play this game better in my opinion. It has more modes and more levels than ever before as well as taking on an all new mode in which you have to earn medals by doing various tasks e.g. getting your worm from one side of the level to the other with a bungee rope. The one downside to worms is that it is still 2d, which in an era of 3d games isn’t really good enough. Still, if you liked any of the previous worms games then you will love this, even though it is more of the same.... Read review

This 2D game consists of a team of worms provided with certain weaponary in order to abliterate the opponent. Whether this is another human or computer player. Each weapon has a different effect and differs in effectiveness. Some can damage the worms more than others. Once you get into this game and get better and more worm thirsty you can progress through the tasks gaining things to improve you. This can get very addictive so watch that you don't neglect your family too much. Unless it's your boring old biddy. The graphics are average in this game and the souns are ok but i think Worms Armageddon definitely takes the biscuit!!! Worms Armageddon still has the 2D format however, the worms are much larger and clearer... Read review

With weapon choices, options and terrain editors you'll be playing this game for ages! There is a multiplayer option (even though I can't get it to work!) and a two player option as well. You can name your worms and change what your worms say when they get burnt to a crisp, you can even make your own sounds! It's only £15 as well! ...Worms has over 20 billion levels or so, lots of hilarious and original weapons, and can start off hours of squiggly madness. Worms Armageddon uses good looking graphics which could run on P133 only needing small graphics cards. This games a cross between Quake and Lemmings and so was a completely original idea when Worms first came out. Worms Armageddon has obviously been strenuously designed because of all the weapons, all the different voices, and all the Missions and Training Facilities and Deathmatch and all the special options your are allowed on completion of these things. Some reviews said that it was the same as Worms 2 but frankly, it isn’t. It has many more options and weapons, and on comparison the graphics are far better.
