HQ695 - stands for high quality 6 x 9 The frequency response is the smoothest i have seen (heard) Very simple to install, in minutes, on either a stelth shelf or in cabinets. Since my car was written off, I am using them as hifi spekers in my bedroom, and I can't be in the room when they are on half volume! They are never going to distort as they have a peak output of 260 watts each, thats 130 watts rms, you can't get a home amp big enough! They have an amazing reproduction quality over the broadest frequecy range i have seen, higher than cats and dogs can hear! Overall they are what you expect, amazing in car speakers (with a high quality amp) but also look stunning in ur bedroom put in wooden cabinets (full range speakers 3 way!!) Look to pay £150... ...well i have just installed this amplifier this morning, and it was dead easy to fit and the instalation guide was very helpful after playing about with all the settings i got myself a nice clear thumping bass and all is sounding great. the best thing about this amp is that it can be bridged for 400w of power straight into a subwoofer. the only problem is there is only 2 channels and not four as i would of connect a set of 6x9s to the other 2. but nevermind maybe i could buy another, i could have a read round other peoples reviews on other brands.. and on the plus side you even get 4 self tapping screws to fit it anywhere you like. you could connect any head unit up to this amp providing it had a pre out (2 phono sockets) on the back. and i would recommend usng a 10awg (400w max) amp wiring kit. its what im running it through... Advantages: Value for money, Good sound quality, Styling
Disadvantages: Ideally need to be hooked to an amp, Green not to everyones taste

...I've now been using these speakers for a few months now. I brought them in the Fusion 4 corner package, which contained an amplifier (EN AM6004) and a set of component speakers (En-CM525) and a wiring kit. The 6x9 speakers are currently in the boot of my corsa, in a box which I made and are being ran off the amplifier along with the components. I did originally just wire the 6x9's up to my head unit which is the Inphase IPS920SD and this has a max power output of 4x60rms. The head unit alone provided more than enought power for the speakers to run resonably well and the sound coming from them was fairly loud and quite bassy. I would however reconmend that if you wanted to get the most out of these speakers you should hook them up to an amplifier of some description. ...We've recently had some new floors laid downstairs, but with work upsatirs about to recommence, and workmen treading muck/grit in and out I thought we should get hold of some dust sheets which we could put down to protect the floor. A search on Google for 'dust sheets' threw up a link to Decorating Direct where they were offering 'Cotton Twill' 12' x 9' dust sheets for what I considered was an extremely good price, the 12' x 12' size was quite a bit more expensive 'pro-rata' than you would expect compared to the 12' x 9' (not sure why?). We reckoned that we needed five 12' x 9' dust sheets. Ordering online was easier than expected, simply selecting the size, entering a quantity, and clicking the 'add to order' button. They offer free delivery on all orders over 50.00 pounds, but as our order came to quite a bit less we incurred... Read review
