Superb tent

Advantages Sturdy, roomy, easy assembly
Disadvantages Not cheap
I don't actually own one of these superb little tents, but have used them on a few occasions as a participant of the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme. It is a truly impressive model, with a number of features making it suitable for use in such activities.
It is reasonably lightweight, but at the same time very sturdy. I believe it is suitable for 4-season use although I haven't yet tried it out in the winter conditions. It uses shock-corded lightweight poles which are extremely easy to assemble and it is possible to put the inner tent and fly-sheet up as one unit. This is especially useful when raining, and makes for a quick assembly time. The tent is equally easy to take down when it is time to go.You will comfortably sleep 2-3 people in here, and the two porch-type entrances (one at either end) allow for storage of boots and packs etc, so that your sleeping area is just that. The porches are also adequately large enough to allow you to cook in (with care), if the weather is less perfect. Having two entrances is useful to avoid stepping on your friends if you need to get out in the night, and also results in good ventilation.
The tent appeared to be really sturdy and hard-wearing. It is also free-standing should you need, as I did, to pitch on hard ground and not be able to peg it down. A very good model, worth paying out for.
